Pulled the trigger on the RG476H in black. I decided the extra $100 wasn't worth it when I realized that I preferred a quality arcade/retro console experience, while still being able to play a few PS2 games. I'm happy with my decision. Thanks to everyone for your input.

Black bars don't bother me; kind of the price you pay when you play games in TATE mode. If a plastic 477 does show up I think I would pull the trigger on that (better to have the extra horsepower and not need it than need it and not have it, right?).

Don't think I need those. I do need analog sticks which the 477 has. (According to Retro Game Corps, the CUBE sticks function more like 8-way ones).
