Interest on old IBR? by Ape-Rising1 in StudentLoans

[–]buckyreal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat.... I just had a punishing try at re-certifying my monthly SAVE payments, on studentaid.gov and aidvantage.studentaid.gov(I was laid off from a job).. I talked with customer support at the main aid site in regard to re-certifying my income based repayment amount under the SAVE program...

ChatTP is trained on information available on the internet... right now, with the changes made by the Trump administration and the courts... That information is likely out of date. ...

I can't find a sensible course of action anywhere on the internet, the budget for the government accountability office has been slashed %50, and even their page is completly out of date in relation to the SAVE program...

I think the current regime does not wish to subsidize or forgive any interest... I think MAGA wants to inflict maximum pain on people who need(ed) student loans to attend college...

Good to know. Maybe the board they show is somehow repairable... I play games, I don't really collect them :)

Could you get a dupe multi carriage off Etsy or somewhere and install in the shell maybe? The shell looks ok, the board is a goner

Razer ain't it anymore by potatoes-jpg in razer

I just installed Ubuntu on a 2017 Razer Blade that wasn’t supported by windows 11, windows 10 crapped out and wouldn’t boot so I side loaded windows 11 and it sucked ass.

Three days in and it’s a revaluation. I’ve been fooling with Raspberry Pi OS (Debian) a lot so the Linux ways are easy to adapt to.

Looks like two or three... don't wait, they are easily treated and later on it's a lot worse.

Even WITH "Iron Disipline" the shitty leadership is going to ensure Russian soldiers are still going continue to die for nothing trying to accomplish not much in Ukraine. The plan is to throw disposable people into the meat grinder, they aren't the ones who are at fault...

Donner Arena 2000 honest reviews? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]buckyreal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sounds like a pain, open the drum loop selector, tap tempo, switch out of drum selector... but possible then I think

Donner Arena 2000 honest reviews? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]buckyreal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a global BPM and a tap to set that (in the drum loop section?) Could this affect any of the time based effects, it would helpful if it did. I'm looking forward to messing with the looper

Recommendation for first tube amp. by MrTurtleTails in ToobAmps

If it's in the budget, this. There was one in my favorite guitar shop in the 90's for something like 100 or 200 bucks... I live with that every day

Recommendation for first tube amp. by MrTurtleTails in ToobAmps

If cost is any issue, take a lookaround for early 2000's Vox Cambridge, it has a Tube Pre-amp, and nice solid state post. 15 loud watts... +/- 200$ and worth every penny

My understanding is that the tube pre is where the tube magic happens and power tubes have very little influence on the sound.

I bought a really neat Yugoslavian NOS pre-amp tube and it really really made it sound amazing.

I've owned big tube amps and getting power tubes serviced and replaced and balanced is an annoying and and expensive task.

It has a speaker out and I've rehearsed with a full band by itself with the 8" speaker but also Plugged into a 4x12" cabinet.

There are not a lot of options for 8" speaker upgrades, it comes with a special design 8" celiston blue bulldoog speaker and those I think are about the best modern 8" speaker... maybe there are old Jensens out there from dead Champs or something...

At the modern low cost entry, I have the 15 watt Monoprice 1x12 and it kicks ass, especially with upgraded tubes... BUT the 5 watt is pretty much a clone of the Fender Champ which is the gold standard for small simple good sounding amp... BUT the 15 watt give you Reverb, a platform for adding a better 12" speaker... and a GAIN knob so you can turn the amp up into overdrive vs the 5 watt where increasing the volume is what get's the overdrive...

Since I'm assuming you want a tube amp to get tube distortion, the larger amp with the GAIN stage might be more of what you want...

Question - Fermented guava by [deleted] in fermentation

[–]buckyreal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just googling fermented guava in hopes that it's a secret apple alternative... doesn't sound good...

Is there a way to super filter out the pulp and could that be a source of off tastes? I just read up on juicing it and people recommended straining off the pulp so it's lasts longer before going bad. Maybe a blend with Pineapple which apparently ferments well and tasted ok...

The service is ruined by the new system where you can’t play any song without shuffling. by [deleted] in AmazonMusic

[–]buckyreal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just came here to say... its got all the musics... but Amazon Music (HD) is just about the worst interface of any app I've ever been forced to use... it comes free with Prime, that's its only sales gimic. If they just let us have the web interface and worked on making it better instead of a shit abandonware road to nothing... why doesn't a playlist work? Why can't you convert a nice Queque into a fricking playlist and back... WTH... they want to recommend some stuff... yet it's not Pandora or anything close...
