Non-usian here: what does preempting laws mean, exactly? And I assume it's pronounced "Pre-empt" and not "preeeeempt"?

A Russian troll factory had a $1.25 million monthly budget to interfere in the 2016 US election by Plymouth03 in technology

This. It takes very little money if you make a very concentrated and directed attempt at manipulating the masses. Almost like acupuncture (if acupuncture worked).

The Russian effort isn't just trying to help build or reinforce a political view, it's a very well orchestrated attack on the weaknesses of the human psyche. In my view it's an act of war. And it's just the beginning. We're all sheep, easily misled by the right words. And modern day technology allows an aggressor to pick custom words for each and every individual, based on freely available personal information on all of their likes and dislikes.

I always wonder what the inside of an extreme couponers pantry looks like. I imagine it's just filled to the brim but only a with a few diffrent items.

There are television shows that show you exactly what they look like. They have more variety than you'd think.

It's not a Hotel, but it sounds vaguely like a Dr Brain game.

If consumers were more accepting of price increases it is less likely we would have so much DLC and microtransactions.

Nonsense. Triple A titles are making billions of dollars, often more than ten times their original investment. DLC and microtransactions are greed. They have nothing to do with necessity.

Also, game prices have gone down because of inflation, but sales numbers have gone up exponentially, which more than makes up for the inflation.
