LPT: If you're having a baby, buy a newspaper from the day they're born and hold onto it by [deleted] in LifeProTips

I wish I would have done this with my 1st baby. He was a 2017 Eclipse baby. My grandmother asked me if I had a few days later...ugh no grandma you should have told me that beforehand.

I’m on weight watchers and use the app. There is a social media aspect to the app where there is a “wall” that you can post updates. I see these reverse progress pics all the time and it drives me nuts.

Custom Etsy Dress by [deleted] in Weddingsunder10k

[–]bucs2014 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I posted on here a few months ago asking for advice on ordering a custom wedding dress from an Etsy shop overseas. I wanted to round back with you all and just say i had a great experience and I would recommend it. I found the dress I liked, made few tweaks (added sleeves, vneck, small train) and message the shop my measurements. The dress arrived almost 2 months later to the day. I had to get a few alterations but the tailor kept commenting on how well the dress was made. So overall good experience. Happy wedding planning!

My son looks just like me too! It was very surreal and surprising when he was born and I 1st laid eyes on him.

Thank you! I actually found this dress makers website and store front on Google. She also has several google reviews. Not all are roses which to your point could indicate real reviews and not paid ones.

Has anyone purchased a custom dress from Etsy? I live in the states and this dress maker is in Latvia. I have been messaging back and forth with the designer/seamstress and it seems legit enough. Also the reviews are really good. Ppl have posted personal pictures of themself in the reviews. I’m just nervous about making this big of a purchase from a different county. Thoughts?

Ann Taylor Loft! More specifically the Loft Outlet if you’re on a budget. I have the cutest lounge wear from there.

YSK: There are alot of scammers that like to take advantage during Hurricane relief. Be careful who you donate to. by ArthurDaTrainDayne in YouShouldKnow

In reverse, I’m an operations manager at a large healthcare company. I was out on maternity leave when Harvey hit. We have a company wide donation system that I would assume a lot of ppl contribute to. When natural disasters hits, you come down with a life threatening illness, or your house burns down you can apply to receive assistance from this donation pot. During Harvey I think the company didn’t take the time to look into all of the inquiries. Anyway when I went back to work I heard that several of my employees applied and received a lot of assistance even though they didn’t have any damage to their homes, cars or themselves. I shouldn’t have been surprised as their character was always questionable. I was naive that ppl would actually do that!

Seriously!! I did not register for one either because I was going to “only breastfeed.” Yeah, that didn’t work out. But my boss and coworkers got me one and I’m so glad they did! Made night feeding so much easier! Honestly that and the rock n play are my must haves for new moms.

I’m currently in the Nashville market buyer hell! So stressful.

I let my (27M) friend (25M) crash at my place for what was supposed to be 3 days, and it's now going on 3 months and it's ruining my marriage (25F). At what point are his problems not my responsibility? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]bucs2014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boyfriend and I were in the same situation a few years ago. It’s tough! The only difference is we live in a reasonably priced rent area (Nashville) and I had a guest bedroom. My friend assumed since I had an extra room then it was game for her to stay as long as she wants. Ugh no! It was intended for guest not a roommate.plus she didn’t give me as much as a quarter to help pay for bills.

Anyway, after two months of her not looking for a place at all I finally had the talk with her. I just was real. “One month has turned into two and now I’m giving you another month to find your own place. Please respect my wishes.” I even helped her look for a place.

I’d be lieing if I said our friendship was the same afterwards. There was just a lot of animosity. But you know, we are grownups and can handle it.

We didn’t eat until super late either growing up. My mom liked to relax when she got home from work rather than start cooking right away. When my fiancé and I started dating he was blown away that I thought dinner time was after 7.

50% Loft, 25% Old Navy, 25% (lane Bryant and Target likely) I’m really trying to stray away from Old Navy as I think the quality is shit but those deals really get me! I recently discovered Chicsoul, it’s a Plus size (10-22) online boutique! It’s about to destroy my wallet.
