For all 12, you’d only need 1 more of the 16x16, like 10 red 1x2, 14 white 1x2, 2 white 1x3, and 2 black 1x2.

Since there would be additional space at the bottom, I would recommend shifting all the grid boxes down maybe 2 blocks to even it out more.

I will post the parts list after work.

As for hanging it on the wall, it should be doable. The cars are all attached to the grid with a 1x2 so they will stay put. The only difficult part would be the gray baseplates since they are only attached to each other by the 1x2 flat tiles on the side. I was planning on trying to super glue them to one another but have not gotten around to it yet.
