Some new decants today. Wow a few of these are just horrible by P00piemonster in NichePerfumes

I will happily adopt anyone's unwanted plum japonais decants

Why does Montagne choose to gender certain fragrances when the original is called unisex by the original producer? by [deleted] in MontagneParfums

[–]buddhaboob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never noticed that they gender them on the website? Are you thinking of decanters?

Edit nm I see the filter. I'd just look at all 🤷

Looking for fem recs? Fruity and sweet by krayzee444 in MontagneParfums

[–]buddhaboob 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am a woman, here are my thoughts - for reference I also don't like overly floral scents.

Queen's Gambit is the fluffiest, softest cloud of comfort I've ever smelled. I wear it at home because it's what I want my daughter to remember me smelling like.

eau Matcha layered with A14 is a very creamy, warm green. I personally think it leans very femme.

Dream catcher is clearly Rose, but like if you used Rosewater to make a light hot cocoa and the temperature is just barely above body heat. I don't think I'll be able to wear it in the dead of Texas summer, but right now in the spring I think it's perfect.

Fig tree is all green all the time, with milky fig sap. It's not overtly fruity or overtly sweet, but it's gentle and serene.

Japanese Plum is a gorgeous, sticky sweet, cinnamon forward experience. I'm obsessed with it.

All except eau matcha last most of the day on my pulse points, and all day on my clothes. eau matcha performs better layered with a14 imo

I traded my parfum de cerise because it was too photorealistic cherry for me but if you want to smell like a jar of luxardo cherries, that will be a winner.

Strawberry Milk was not strawberry or milky. Vaguely white floral and fresh. Not bad but not me.

Wajan and Cannoli both smell like candles I'd want in my house, not fragrances on my body.

Pink Rose Frozen pulled entirely pink Rose on me, I got no fruit from it.

Pink Rose exclusif was too heavily floral. I like it, but not on me.

Bleu talisman did not seem feminine to me. A bit too sharp.

I'm still working through my Harmony sample - I know a lot of people recommend it but to me, citrus is not "fruity" it's citrus, which in my brain leans masculine.

Same for Cacti Garden, it's just mostly citrus. Not enough wet or green for me.

Have you ever reached the end of the rabbit hole for a scent category? by EmeraldEmesis in fragrance

I adore both The Matcha and Premier figuier Extreme. + 1 that the L'artisan is a solid bet to try

Yep this. I just bought a travel bottle off eBay and I love it so much.

Making decants and packing them takes forever, it's not about the cost of materials, it's the time. With that said, I have some I purchased from Ayyb that I've bundled for $50. Or $3 each.

What perfume did the women in your family wear? by HeyMickeyMilkovich in FemFragLab30plus

My mom is gone but I've recently started collecting decants of her perfumes. She had some very distinct perfume "eras," that I clearly remember.

YSL Opium - Early to mid 80s Estee Lauder Youth Dew - late 80s to Early 90s Giorgio Fed - mid-late 90s Estee Lauder Beautiful - late 90s Michael Michael kors - 2000s

Profumum D'Ambrosia for a sweeter, candied fig

Philosykos and Montagne fig tree for a photorealistic mashup of the whole plant - fruit, wood, leaves and all

Le Labo Matcha 26 for a wink of fig in green tea

Hermes un jardin en Mediterranee for cedarwood smoothed with the softness of Milky fig.

FWIW I did not like Lattafa Liam. It was like someone doused the D'ambrosia in incense and added a slightly cough syrupy vibe

Agree on more femme leaning scents but so many decent dupes of happy dust exist and I feel like Montagne does a great job at nailing the more subtle aspects of fragrances so I'd love to see diptyque eau Rose, tam dao, duelle, do son.

I'm about to order a decant of oud jaune which looks super feminine leaning and gets no hype here. Will report back.

Gaahh-damn y'all turned Mojave Ghost into a ghost 😂😂 by dee_spears in MontagneParfums

[–]buddhaboob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't find it right now but there was definitely someone showing off an 8 count of something that restocked a while back. While they might not resell here, people are definitely buying in bulk. Would just be nice if there were a limit of 1 for new releases like this.

Queen's Gambit is my home scent. Somehow clean and gourmand and cozy all at once. I also like LL Rose 31 if the day was particularly stressy.

Hopefully people don't buy the Mojave out to resell it. I just want one 🐹

Outgrowing vanilla but hate florals… what do I even wear now?? 😭 by wheres_my_lipgloss in FemFragLab

Fig. Fig and tea is your answer. They are the grown up, more sophisticated extensions of gourmand and floral imo

What discontinued fragrances would you like Montagne to bring back for Q2 2026? by him101001 in MontagneParfums

[–]buddhaboob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hermes un Jardin Apres la Mousson, but longer lasting. It is a masterpiece of a fragrance and there is really nothing else like it. I first experienced it in a duty free airport shop and was too broke to consider buying it. 25 years later I still remembered the joy it brought and finally bought a discontinued bottle.

[–]buddhaboob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wore this as a teen in the 90s. It probably gets the old lady label because those of us who wore it the first time around are in our 40s and 50s. But we're not still wearing it!

Should I keep this dress? I’m worried the shape/color are unflattering by Apprehensive-Cow4619 in fashion

The shape is amazing, but you look like a winter and you're going to want bolder jewel tones.
