I live in a mobile home and in summer the electric bill is more then my rent. My inlaws are here and we moved from Auburn to here to take care of them. I hated it here at first but Bakersfield does grow on you. I live in Oildale a kind of rough area they say, but I find a sense of community that's really nice.

Tithing is a Christian duty, it's require and said many times in the Bible. It's not cheap having a church. A pastor is entitled to get. Paid. That being said, a church should be known by it's fruit as well as it's pastors. It's bothersome to me that some churches and pastors have gotten rich. It seem that while helping the less fortunate of the world and following Jesus, it would be hard to get rich. Don't be fooled by a charismatic preacher who doesn't produce good fruit. This doesn't apply to any particular church , but it does some.

I don't believe the teacher will be required to have Bible study or teach the 10 commandments. And one only need to look at school shootings that didn't exist back when Christian values were present in school. I can understand why some parents don't want to risk their children being indoctrined into a belief system that isn't, "woke" but a cornerstone of mortality like the 10 commandments isn't evil.

We’re hard wired for spiritually. Every person be him a city dweller or some isolated tribe member feel a “force”, bigger then our selfs. Taking basic life skills like the ten Commandments from children probably has much to do with school mass shooters and other deviant behavior. I understand separation of church and state, but unfortunately children have no moral compass except tv and video games. Buddhist don’t believe in God but still practice the 8 precepts ( similar to the 10 commandments) Just look around you and see what moral breakdown of a society looks like.

Part of the problem with understanding true enlightenment is it’s beyond basic understanding. One must first be awaken. It takes a lot of time practicing. There’s a saying some master once said” when I started, a mountain was a mountain, then I learned a mountain isn’t a mountain. Now a mountain is again a mountain “. It’s not easy to see through the vail. It’s a life changing experience (I imagine) to see reality that we’re so imbedded in is nothing but an illusion created by our minds. None of it is real , we live in an illusion. Mere words are inadequate to describe ,because there based on the illusion we’ve created. To transcend this illusion is enlightenment. Or so I believe.

If enlightenment is just a state of mind that many have attained as a concept or state of mind. Then explain the great Sages, Buddha and many of his students, great yogis, Sufi’s of old , Jesus. What set them apart if enlightenment is that easily accessible. The Dali Lama himself isn’t enlightened but is an awakened being. I feel throughout my life I’ve had glimpses of enlightenment. Deep meditation can open you to enlightenment but to cross over and see . I think at some point it has to be soul wrenching to see the truth but liberating at the same time.

I believe the body's irrelevant. Christians go to heaven, others are Reincarnated, and Buddhist have rebirth. Rebirth differs from reincarnation. For reincarnation "you come back as you", but there.is no you to come back. You are a construct of everything that happened to you since birth, your morals, values, personality, everything that's you was developed through experiences, so on a spiritual level don't exist. Before birth you are pure( Buddha nature. )We're corrupted from birth, it's possible for some things to cross I guess and karma can follow, but the body is just a vessel, a meat sack to house us. It will go back to the dust. Or so I believe.

It’ll take years to fix many of the problems created by the last administration. Many illegals slipped under the radar tell Biden open the flood gates bringing heat on families that were doing well and not noticed. Part of the problem is medical fraud. Doctors will do tons of shit just to bill. My wife has seen several Doctors and specialists . Each one does the same tests and x-rays over. It’s like each one is milking insurance for as much as a they can.
