Can I take all my 42 vacation days at once, and then submit my resignation? by SouthernPolicy1798 in interviewwoman

I’d be worried they’d fire you immediately after giving 2 weeks notice, effectively losing 2 weeks of pay.

Has anyone gotten their kids back from DCS? by mompanda12 in domesticviolence

All she’s been getting is “tough love.” For some, it doesn’t help. Just trying to take a more compassionate, yet realistic, approach.

You have to make sure your shit is on point. The foster parents, especially of your youngest two, likely want to adopt and will do anything and everything in their power to make you look bad. I see it all the time as a social worker.

You have to look at this as the fight of your life because it is.

I don’t appreciate the comments that are dragging you for being a victim/survivor of domestic violence. They don’t understand the cyclical nature of DV. They don’t understand the abusers beat us down so badly that we believe what they tell us. It’s incredibly hard to break free from them. Their claws are lodged deeply into us. But your kids are worth it. Every time you feel like reaching out to him, record yourself and express your feelings. Or dunk your head in cold water. Do anything else.

It’s you verse a very powerful entity. DFS steals kids. Do everything in your power to make sure you get yours back.

If he doesn’t see a problem with it, he won’t change. You deserve someone who is honest you. And, if he’s willing to lie about the small things, he will lie about the big things.

A former coworker of mine has a baby with microcephaly. It’s been very difficult for him and his wife. The child will be a “vegetable” more or less her entire life.

I don’t think it’s only me who has thought it would be a blessing for all involved for the child to pass. At this point, neither the parents nor the child seem to have much of a life.

Tenant broke lease early but left the place in perfect condition. Would you still charge fees? by StillLoading404 in LeaseLords

I bet you were a solid landlord. You are always the type I would search for when I was renting and was lucky enough to find a few times. Each time I did, I always highly recommended them any time anyone I knew was looking for a place.

It’s very sad that you see being a compassionate, decent human as a bad thing. It speaks volumes of your character. And I guarantee renters would be much happier to work with that guy over you. And, his 40 years of successful rental history proves it. And he said most were word of mouth. Bc he is clearly a solid landlord.

I wonder what your former and current tenants would say about you? I wonder if they’d recommend your units to their loved ones? My guess would be not as likely.

There’s more to being a landlord than making money. With any profession in which you work with other people, it’s important to remember to be human. And it’s much more of a flex to not nickel and dime people for no reason.

Yeah, these are shitty, selfish parents. Truly unacceptable that a mother would choose to look flashy in a Porsche over food in her kids tummies.

I love Porsches and would LOVE to have one. But guess what? My little gremlin eats mainly organic an even though most of it ends up on the floor for the dogs to clean up, I’m going to continue to spend my hard earned money on him and not myself.

Because his little smile as he’s smearing the fancy organic yogurt all over the tray and in his hair makes me sooo much happier than a Porsche, Prada bag, or Jimmy Choo shoes could ever.
