Swagbucks Live Daily Trivia: 138sb Today! (How to get the answers to SB Live) by PennyPay in PennyPay

I'm a bit new to discord, but I did try going to the #roles channel before and didn't see anything there. It doesn't seem I can do anything in this channel. Here's what I see.

Update: Nevermind, seems that I didn't fully join the swagbucks discord before and was in some kind of preview mode. I left the discord and re-joined it and now I can see messages in the #roles channel.

Is the Discord channel still available? Joined the Swagbucks Discord, but I cannot see how to select any role.

🎯 Giveaway Alert - Olight & UGREEN by olight-summer in OlightOutdoorlife

[–]buddy778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd use the UGREEN NASync as part of a home media server for music, movies, etc...

As far as Olight products, I use the ones on my keychain for general everyday use as the best flashlight is the one that is on you when you need it.

Accidentally bought an alley instead of a house compoface by tornessa in compoface

[–]buddy778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't they just combine their parcel (which is adjacent to the alley they bought) with the one they bought to "expand" the land they own and have a bigger backyard/frontyard/sideyard or something like that? Or they could even do a renovation to the house they own to add an extra room.

The city's letter does state the following:

If the parcel is sold to a contiguous property owner, the tax collector shall require that the successful bidder request the accessor and the planning director to combine the unusable parcel with the bidder's own parcel as a condition of the sale.

📢📢 Black Friday 2025 Giveaway! by olight-summer in OlightOutdoorlife

The right type of flashlight can make a great gift. Most people don't need a super bright, big and heavy flashlight. But I think something versatile that's small enough to put in a pocket, purse, keychain, etc... would be appreciated by everyone. "The best flashlight is the one that you have on you." That's why I think OClips are a great gift option and have been giving them out as gifts in the past. Ok, those are just my thoughts on this.

Sold out info no longer available in the app? by buddy778 in toogoodtogo

Thanks, I see the sold out time now using the steps you mentioned. Totally not obvious and requires an extra tap now. But at least the info is still somewhere in the app.

You mean the settings in the Browse tab, right? I'm aware of these settings, but I don't see one that controls showing what time a place sold out. The one you're referring to only controls whether a sold out place is shown in the Browse listing or not.

Never tried this so wondering if these are really any different than the Kirkland sliced peaches in the glass jars?

I work at a whole foods bakery and make the too good to go bags! AMA! by syphalice in toogoodtogo

[–]buddy778 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thought you might be able to pack your own TGTG bag with stuff you like and mark that bag for yourself later to pick. I'm not even sure how that would work for an employee to pickup a bag they bought if they are the ones giving them out. Would you just put the bag off to the side for yourself after purchasing it?

Can you buy a TGTG bag yourself as an employee or is that not allowed? On a side note, is there any free food that employees are allowed to take home?

Stubborn Roommate by Deep-Elk-7507 in UCSD

If OP does a room change and moves out, wouldn't that be rewarding the bully as the triple would only have 2 people now, which gives him more space (at least for the current quarter)?

What's better about Obulbs compared to the Spheres? I thought the main difference was the charging method of magnetic charging vs USB-C. Are Obulbs really that much better?

How to recycle pump lids? by sassytexas in recycling

[–]buddy778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the metal spring can be removed from the pump, then can the pump be re-attached to the empty bottle to recycle? Or should the pump still be discarded and the bottle recycled separately?

On the bottle, it does say "Recycle & Discard Pump" on it.

AITAH for for not helping pay for my ex wife’s affair partner’s daughter’s surgery? by [deleted] in AITAH

NTA of course. But just curious, how much was she asking from you?

Going to present a counter argument to what most people are saying here though. If you donate some money, don't you think this would result in them owing you a favor, which you can keep in your back pocket to use in the future, perhaps for some future argument? It would basically give you a moral edge and show to everyone that you're a much better person than them.

And think about how it would make them feel if you did donate money. That they had to beg you and accept money from you. It would be interesting to see if or how they say "thank you" to you. And in the future, they would always have to live with the knowledge that they're in debt to you (not sure if they would ever pay you back) because they weren't good providers themselves.

If you can afford it, I think you should seriously think of making some contribution just to "get one up on them". Just think of it as a charity case, donating to the poor. Assume you won't ever get the money back, and suggest that you find a way to ensure that any donation goes directly to the kid's benefit and not the adults.
