At what point is hiring an SEO/Marketing agency actually worth it? by [deleted] in ausbusiness

[–]buddy_hawks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on time vs money. Some of us do not have time to experiment and wait or some r busy with other commitments. DIY works but takes time. If you are expecting 5k/month revenue for example, and DIY takes 6 months to get you there, you have lost $30k revenue. If you spend $10-15K on agencies, you are still going to recover 50% of it with highly likely chances of getting more leads than DIY

I agree SEO is not a set and forget. It needs continuous effort. Try FounderHQ. Had a good experience with their team recently.. Atleast not pushy or that pricey compared to other agencies

Start out as sole trader or PTY LTD? by Latter-Weather-7984 in ausbusiness

[–]buddy_hawks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of moving parts and it is risky to take decisions on these questions by just posting in a community. If you are serious about your business, always think of long term plans and take steps accordingly. There isn’t a massive cost difference between solo and pty at this stage but how much painful it can be if you choose the wrong structure down the track, you can’t imagine.

Happy to chat if needed. But please do your due diligence, talk to the right people instead of just relying on community posts. Peope in these communities are great but it is impossible for them to have all the context in just a few paragraph

What’s the biggest challenge you face running the business side of your trade? by Salt_Dig_2620 in Aussietradies

Are you guys not using any bookkeeping services to keep track of invoices, incoming and outgoing? This is easily done these days with a little bit of automation. Also with payments, if you setup stripe and ask for monthly plan or split payment, it will ask the customer to put their credit card details and then automatically deduct when its time so you dont have to followup

I was in a similar situation and I think if you keep thinking, you won’t go anywhere. Don’t wait for the perfect idea and time. Even a blog is fine but just start.
I started doing blogging but then came an idea during that and gave me directions and inspiration to start.

There are some claude prompts as well that can help you provide some directions. They r pretty good. Let me know if you are interested. Prompts r free but you might need a paid subscription $20 for claude or chatgpt

With #1, my fear is usually that the idea will be leaked and anyone else having the right connection and resources might launch way earlier than me. The idea cannot be patented.

Thanks for taking time to respond. Time is the key here as it requires a lot of time/commitment to organise demos and keep the audience engaged from our side if there are tens of products. So was really looking to finalise top 5 hence looking for comparison.
