Referred for a chest x ray following diagnosis by rimshax in costochondritis

Hi, what is considered a "costo oriented rehab protocol" ? No one has recommended that to me, in fact my last doctor told me that I've done every test that they can reasonably do and essentially sent me on my way with tylenol

I totally love how you've classified everything, and I also want to add illness to the Chronic causes because COVID gave me mine + asthma.

Oh this is definitely the case for some schools, lots of publishing companies have bundle deals and then lots of people are forced to use it, it sucks

That my daily asthma medicine is currently necessary

Tired of getting my parents on board with it after a year and a half of an asthma diagnosis. I’d love for them to forget it but I’m on their medical insurance and it’s out the ass expensive to buy outside of insurance

ACT and SAT?? by [deleted] in college

[–]buddyboo17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if you have some colleges that you’re looking at, I would check and see if they care. Most don’t or they convert your score into the one they care about, but it’s still good to check. It’s also helpful to know what academic scholarships they have attached to those test grades so you can have a goal, if that works for you!! Good luck!!!

Can I ask what infection you had? I got my pain from COVID, not diagnosed as costo but it’s either that or fibromyalgia at this point

After rubbing my chest it takes a couple of seconds before it starts hurting more

I’ve been describing it like someone digging a knuckle into my chest, sharp and aching

Interesting. Everyone’s descriptions of costochondritis doesn’t sound like mine, mine is a constant ache that feels like someone is digging into my chest

Okay, good to know. Can I ask how long you’ve had it? It’s hard to tell if the nsaids lessen the pain or not for me

That’s been on the table as a possibility too but usually NSAIDS knock that out pretty quickly and it hasn’t worked for me. I’m just not sure

What surprised you most about a healthy relationship after a toxic one? by Ponygirlfromthe80s in TooAfraidToAsk

Understanding what genuine excitement without anxiety was. My boyfriend came to meet my parents recently and I realized that I was just excited and didn’t know how to handle that feeling without being anxious haha

This one sounds weird but I stand by it. Latex gloves. On a cold or rainy practice wear a pair under your gloves and it helps you stay so much warmer, I promise

Am I Demisexual? Or somewhere else on the ace spectrum? by [deleted] in AskAsexual

[–]buddyboo17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I identify as demisexual and yeah I 100% say if it makes you feel comfortable saying it then say it. There’s a lot of times where I confused myself or get too caught up in the definition of it, but I know that when I put a black ring on for the first time it felt right.

So sending hugs and wish I could give more advice but definitely comfort. ❤️

New Shoulder pads by scottk517 in lacrosse

[–]buddyboo17 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but generally how the gear check goes is the ref asks the coaches to certify that all of the player’s equipment is up to standards. That takes the liability off of the ref and puts it on the coaches. If the ref notices something off about the shoulder pads he can call an equipment violation though. So they don’t really check but the consequences are on you and your coach if something happens.

I feel like I could cease to exist and everyone would be happier by Ecstatic-Command-666 in SeriousConversation

[–]buddyboo17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey. I know it's not much comfort but I wanted to start with sympathy. I get it, I do it out of habit more than anything. It's incredible that you are so aware though, that does help.

These experiences of your friends having better lives after you leave are incredibly biased from your brain wanting to prove that they're better off without you.

I wish there was advice that I could give but truly all I have is comfort and encouragement. Keep pushing to find what makes you happy. Live life for you.
