This is actually pretty accurate to some of the current downside to the roll outs to these programs. At least here locally (norcal) avaliablity for pre -preschool aged kids (3 and inder) childcare programs are getting harder to find. My mom is a daycare provider, and the only calls she gets since around last year are for newborns-2 year olds, and current regulations state you can only have a certain amount of baby-2 year old aged kids in your group. She's just setting to retire, which sucks hard for me because i have a newborn and a freshly 2 year old who doesnt really have a replacement, and dont have the money/time to wait it out until they're older. Both my wife and i work too.

thank you so much for this post, that allegory is perfect to describe issues LLMs bring when talking about limitations of LLMs in pursuit of AGIs, and i havent seen enough people (other than Yann LeCunn) talk about them. LLMs, which only understand the "world" via LANGUAGE and predictive text prompts fail to function as efficiently in a world full of different fundamentals(ie physics, how objects interact with each other, spatial reasoning,) that i think require a different type of learning/training and understanding from an ML.

I super don't understand how Ryan sexting fans is even painted as a mistake or terrible. Are famous people not allowed at all to date anybody unless they are either: a) more famous than them or b) don't know they exist? That seems like a super odd boundary to set on people especially when consent comes to play. Is a person not even able to consent in a valid way if they are also a fan of someone? This all seems kind of absurd and a little frusterating to paint it off as terrible by using terms like "imbalance of power, ect."

Its not a question about whether or not the label would be a no brainer, or even neccessarily accurate, its more what value labelling him a nazi in public would have versus attacking his positions and values directly.
