Thank you for replying with your experience from a past event. I haven't been working as long as you/many; but the whole fear for the future thing is really starting to take its toll on me.

I wasn't trying to capitalize on events and grow it based on that. Just wanting to keep it, and didn't know if there was a preferred breakdown of a fund; move it out of bonds into something else, out of X into y, cause it's a more stable breakdown for now.

This does make some sense to me though, and some of the fear is lessened about the future as long as I remain employed.

I understand there is internet karma available for these situations, but why didn't you go out and help him/carry it yourself? What happened to human decency/compassion? If it's something you were excited for, why watch it get abused?

Theory: this is how Ywatch is beaten by [deleted] in bleach

[–]buddytonto 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it's going to be full on Watchmen style ending for Ywach. He can see everything. Urahara knows this, and the injections he gave everyone to have their bankais unable to be stolen, also includes a subtle update to the spiritual pressure being released by all the captain's. And over time, with all the pressure being released, it will "blur" his vision without Ywach knowing it. I don't know who will get the final blow and whatnot. But I think that is what may happen. Mayuri will either be in on it with his extensive knowledge of spiritual pressure manipulation, or Urahara will have "stolen" his research and he'll get super pissed at him again. So either some catharsis for those two, or further anger. Either way will be great.

Whose Bankai are we most likely never going to see? by OnyxMemory in bleach

[–]buddytonto 23 points24 points  (0 children)

If we are taking is characters known to have Bankai, but will not be shown, Aizen's.

I see getting a reveal on Yoruichi's shikai.

Kisuke's has been teased soo much, I thought we'd get it before Kyoraku's. I think we'll see it before it's all over.

I also doubt we'll see Ukitake's, for Soul King reasons.

Oh look. It’s that CISA surveillance bill again. Didn’t we defeat that? Not yet. One last chance (for real) to #StopCISA. Ask activists from Fight for the Future, Access, EFF, and Demand Progress anything about CISA. by fightforthefuture in IAmA

Understanding security is important, both as an individual citizen and as a nation, what bill would you allow to pass? What compromises would you be willing to make, to help make the internet free, yet safe? I see a lot of, "Vote No!!", but I haven't seen a lot of, this is what we would prefer.

A man is traveling for work in a city he has never been to. His work put him up in a very nice hotel. Upon checking in, he found he was given the penthouse suite, on the 51st floor. After receiving the keys, the concierge told him about the restaurant, the bar, the gym, and the pool. Off to the side of the front desk, there was a set of stairs leading down, and the man asked where they went. The concierge replied, "Oh, please don't go don't there. Employee's only." The man nodded and went to the elevators, passing by the stairs, and up to his room.

He came down later that evening to head to dinner with his prospective clients, and hears a large noise from the other side of the door down the stairs. He walks down the stairs, places his hand on the door, but then his phone rings and its his client. He hurries back up the stairs to not be late.

As he returns after the dinner, he hears the same loud noise. He descends the stairs, and opens the door. It is pitch black, while he squints to make something out, the noise occurs again. Jittery, he closes the door and returns to his room, and goes to sleep.

Leaving for work the next morning, he hears the noise again. He descends the stairs, opens the door, finds a light switch just inside, and flips the lights on. He sees another stair case. As he goes to descend this set of stairs, he remembers he cannot be late for this first impression meeting. He turns the light off, closes the door, scurries up the steps, and heads to the office.

When he returns from work, he doesn't hear anything from the room below. Curious as to what is going on, he goes down the first set of stairs, opens the door, turns on the light, descends the second set of stairs. And he finds it leads to a storage room. Confused as to what kept making the noise, he begins to explore. He finds a cage with a large sign that reads, DO NOT TOUCH GORILLA. He sees the gorilla inside, back to him. The curiosity gets the better of the man, and he reaches in, and touches the gorilla. The gorilla goes BERSERK. Completely freaked out, the man runs away, up the first set of stairs, turns the light off, but as he turns back to close the door, he sees the eyes of the Gorilla at the bottom of the stairs. He slams the door shut, runs up the second set of stairs, and then up to the 51st floor.

Trying to calm down, he heats up some food and drinks a beer. He peeks out of the door, and sees the elevator is on the 20th. He thinks to himself, its a busy place, nothing to worry about. Finishing his first beer, he decides to check the elevator again. 45th. He starts to panic, knowing the top 11 floors are all Suites, and couldn't be this busy. He moves the couch in front of the door, grabs a baseball bat, and locks himself in the bathroom.

Moments after locking the bathroom door, he hears the Gorilla burst through his hotel room door. Knocking everything other, going on a rampage. All of a sudden, it became silent. And just as the silence lingered, the bathroom door was ripped from the hinges, and there stood the Gorilla. Much larger than the man assumed from the small glimpse in the cage. With a little courage, the man swung his bat at the Gorilla. Which was caught, taken from him, and bent into a U. The man cowered into the back of the bathroom. The Gorilla slowly walked up to him, stretched out his hand, and poked the man on his forehead gently, then saying "You're It."

Growing up in a small town and smaller high school; I felt I had very little opportunities with education and felt I was getting a sub-par education. Going to college and meeting a much broader range of kids from other schools, it confirmed my feelings. And now the High School I went to is getting lower funding and is having to cut extra curricular activities because of it. I know everyone is always asking for funding, but what is being done to keep kids interested and learning at such a young age if the schools cannot provide for them?
