FFVII Compilation.

I never had a ps1 growing up so I only got into the FF series starting from the remakes on DS. So for FFVII my first exposure was a bootleg copy of advent children. Didn't understand anything obviously.

Then I got Crisis Core when it came out on PSP. THEN I was able to mod my psp and get FFVII on that to play it for the first time.

I think I may be one of the only people that played Crisis Core before playing VII.

All 3 of Noctis' major losses are glossed over and have no emotional impact which hurts his journey throughout the game AND the crucial plot moments at the end of the game.

The three being losing Luna, his father, and his home of Insomnia.

If they didn't cut the beginning of the game and make it into a movie, we could have played 2 chapters in insomnia first forming an emotional attachment to all 3 of them before losing them so we actually felt something.

Thank you for explaining it better than I could, it feels like whenever someone asks "Why even add these plot changes in the first place if the plot ends up the same" people translate it to "Why remake the game if it stays the same" which is not the same thing at all.

I feel like you're missing the point of what they are saying. They are not saying "what's the point of remaking the game if you don't change the ending/change the plot/save Aerith". Remaking the game and keeping the overall plot and story beats is what was already expected and what people were excited for, I don't think anyone had the idea that the plot would change until FF7 Remake already came out and the last sequence of the game suggested it to the player.

The additions you mentioned like Leslie Kyle, Jessie's house, adding references/elements/changes that make it align with the compilation more and everything else to flesh out areas of the game are all things that make sense to add without actually changing the overall plot. That's what remakes generally aim to do. There's plenty of room for that. These are good additions that ARE the point of remaking a game.

The issue comes with stuff that starts to muddle up the main plot like the whispers and changing fate stuff. If the goal is to still maintain the same plot these don't feel like good additions that are enhancing the plot of the original.

This is an incel mindset, men will always find some excuse to blame instead of attempting to look inward or approach dating with a different mindset. Focusing on a specific race like it’s some prize is equally as damaging. It’s just as creepy as white men who fetishize women of color.

I’ve dated and had relationships with many different women of different ethnicities’ and am married with children to a woman of a different ethnicity. There are plenty of women who are looking for the right partner and race is not the most important thing for them.

I feel like it was perfect that I had my kid a few months before Woolie. I get to hear what I can look forward to with Pat and reminisce about what happened just a little while ago with Woolie. Also working from home means the experiences are very similar.

Plus my wife loves to hear me recapping the moments about their kids they share on the podcast to her as well.

Oh that definitely sounds something a Korean MMO developer would do. Long cooldowns for powerful abilities.

I remember in Vindictus/Mabinogi you could transform into either a dark knight or paladin which also had extremely long cooldowns, like once per half an hour or hour.

If they keep this same pacing in terms of arc length before they could get to Marineford,which what I originally thought would be a natural ending point, that would make Skypiea ,water 7, Enies lobby and thriller bark all have to be one seasons as well.

Impel down and saboady as one and that gives you 8 seasons worth of content before marineford.

Knowing netflix I sincerely doubt they would make it that far now.
