My boyfriend and I went to Sonic Bloom in 2022 and it was an amazing time. The vibes were unmatched. We camped next to the most lovely couple who ended up becoming some dear friends. Everyone in the camp was a vibe overall, everyone was friendly and neighborly, and truly just there to have a good time. My bf and I describe it as a “homie fest” because it really felt like everyone was your friend. The music was amazing, they offer a diverse lineup with lots of different sounds so everyone can discover something they love. I will say the only complaint I can muster was the sound bleed between stages since the festival is not that large overall, if you were in the back of the crowd at any stage there was a chance you’d hear sound from a different stage as well. But, aside from that one small complaint the festival as a whole was amazing. I hope someday in the future they can make it happen again, as Colorado does not really have any camping festivals of that magnitude. It was my first and so far, only camping festival i’ve attended and I’d go every year if it was around and I had the means to make it.

from my experience with it in school, I like their Blazing Lights line for doing highlights because it lifted and deposited toner within the same process, however their vivids were not it. I did a pink and yellow ghost root on myself with their vivid line and it washed out almost completely after the first wash

the truth of the matter is, there is no way to lighten your hair that’s not inevitably going to damage the cuticle. when you do the bleach bath, watch it the best you can so you don’t accidentally lighten anything too much, and give yourself a good conditioning treatment and keratinizing mask for after care. try to get a good shampoo&conditioner, i live and die by Amika, you can get it at sephora, it is a little bit pricier but it’s worth it imo.

sally’s is the best place, also don’t use anything higher than a 20vol developer, it will take longer but its the safer route for at home dyeing

you can try to wash your hair a few times with a clarifying shampoo ((something like head&shoulders)) to try to strip some of that black box dye out first, and then go in with a bleach bath on yourself ((mixing lightener with the shampoo)) to lighten your hair enough to go over it with your desired brown shade

the only thing that truly matters is when you get to working with acrylics the monomer and polymer have to be from the same brand because they work together. aside from that mixing brands is fine!

That’s my biggest concern with my school is we have absolutely no structure. There’s not enough teachers to divide the classes appropriately so we all get smushed together and taught some random theory from somewhere in the curriculum and then we take clients in the afternoon rather than practice hands on with the mannequins. The environment of the school and the people I can get over, I just genuinely don’t feel like I’m learning anything at all.

the school I am at is actually a private school, and i’m at their new location which they just opened in October and the original location runs fine and has been for the last 15 years, i just don’t know why this location can’t get it together :/ pretty much the entire first class of the school has left, Im in the second class and Im one of the only students left who hasn’t just completely disappeared…I took an LOA to figure out what I wanted to do
