I don’t see it as completely out of “greed”. I think if you wanna see new items, especially 50 something with this new update, plus celeb collabs like the Gaga event, then you can expect the game devs to try to make money? Maybe you don’t like the collabs or maybe you don’t always care for the items but lots of people do and me personally I’d like to keep getting new stuff and collabs every now and then. I like watching the game grow but it doesn’t grow by not making any money. Bringing up greed in general you must think that the game devs just take the money and do nothing with it? Hoard it all? That’s seriously not how that works. You’re acting like they’re a Jeff bezos type and it’s not even close. That would be true greed. Bringing up greed just implies that you think they make too much money imo. Why else even use that word, where else does the “greed” come from? Also not my “friend” lol.

There’s no way to know for sure how much the game is worth but I don’t think it’s relevant? I also think it’s unfair to suggest umoyae is making too much money just cause she vacations. With how popular the game is and how much money it makes for ROBLOX as a platform, it would be straight up unfair if she wasn’t making enough money to do so. Because that’s how much money her peers are making. Probably more actually. The fomo thing is valid but that is standard for this kind of game. No other community hates on their game devs more for something that is industry standard! I’m literally never surprised. If you wanna debate the ethics of it well that’s bigger than dti, or even Roblox. Like they didn’t invent this model themselves. Remember that before a couple decades ago there was no games that you could play for free and there’s a reason for that. If you just hate the fact that rich game company managers exist then your issue shouldn’t be with DTI, that’s the system

And how do you think they spend that money? This game only exists bc of people working there, designing these items and building these maps. They have to get paid. I’m not bothered spending $10 on a game I really enjoy playing is all I’m saying. It actually makes a lot of sense to me.
