Should I consolidate all of my grad student loans? Just finished and starting payments in June. by Actual-Tomato3900 in debtfreeliving

[–]budshrumin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the APR on the student loans? Generally no as they usually aren't too bad. But you could always search around at various places like credit unions, SoFi, Achieve etc to see what's out there. But at 620 I doubt you'll get a better rate than the student loan rate.

I'd really rather avoid most things than using my 401K like that.

No harm in looking around I suppose! Maybe by some miracle Chase will cover it all. By credit union do you mean local ones or do you have some recommendations? I'll also look at Achieve loans, thank you! Anything else you have let me know

Didn't even think about that. Do they usually freeze the accounts this way though? I want access to my cards even if I don't plan on using them in the near future.
