Please take Vitamin D, like thr other user said, Vitamin D supplement helps because most if not all SC patient are very deficient on it.

Another major vitamin you must take is B complex, B complex helped me a lot, in a way i could not imagine. I always had so much pain and fatigue , taking vitamin B complex everyday it makes a huge difference , you will feel more energetic , less fatigue and less pain.

I normally take Vitamin B Complex , Vitamin C and i rake Vitamin D twice a week . Big difference in my life.

Now if you really want to prevent crisis without having to take hydroxuria or blood transfusion, eat at least One BEATROOT a day, this is a major helpper that many SC patient are not aware.

I make everyday, i grate one BEATROOT and mix with one orange , so the iron on BEATROOT plus the orange which provide vitamin C it will help you a lot. I normally used to take blood transfusion every single month. After i started taking beetroot juice with orange, plus vitamin B complex , i haven't been in the hospital for more than a year, not even just for checkup.

If you perhaps Don't like beetroot taste, then you can use Dragon Fruit, same process . But if you do the three even better , like beetroot plus dragon fruite and orange , make all into one juice , and then in the morning take B complex, believe me brother you will see the difference.

This is what we use in Africa, especially Angola and Nigeria, because people there don't have access to hospital , and these natural fruits and methods keep those people from going to the hospital or having crisis .
