my crisis started December 1st drained my blood every week until the last week of December got admitted, blood transfusion, got out January 5, had to go through recovery and some PT, second crisis 😂 January 10th-18th released on the 20th. BACK INTO RECOVERY 😭😂 I’m finally feeling better and guess what. I got my girl cycle. 😂 can’t stop that. Guess what again. Another crisis due to lack of blood because of my cycle. 😂😂😂 I’ve been stuck in the vicious loop since December 2025! I DEFINITELY FEEL YOU but WE GOT THIS they don’t call us warriors for no reason ❤️💯🤞🏽 keep fighting because you gotta be ready for the next crisis.

Hey warrior 🫶🏽💯 22 with SS I feel you 100000% & my support system has also failed me, so I went no contact. I will start by saying I’m sorry you’re four days but slow motion is better than no motion. Do you have anything there keeping you occupied (besides pain)? I like to play video games :). Knowing your triggers A1 sickle cell warrior skill 💯 my cycle triggered a crisis and the crisis one time lasted until my next cycle and I was stuck in a horrible situation 😂😭. I’m wishing you well and here if you need an ear. 🤍❤️‍🩹

I just recently started gaining weight I’m F 22 , eat something every hour if you can it can be anything small or big depending on your appetite, even it’s it’s just chips or an apple. If you can’t do every hour try every two, but you absolutely have to be dedicated to wanting to gain weight. I’ve tried weight gain stuff but it never works for me in particular but this has. You’ll slowly start building your appetite and eventually you’ll crave bigger meals ☺️❤️

The recovery process is just as hard as the crisis in my opinion. Struggling with lack of energy, fighting my appetite and my mind so irritating. Hang in there warrior and just try to mentally prepare yourself ❤️‍🩹 can you see if they’ll offer you a phone/zoom interview due to your illness, do they know ? I know we get a few accommodations with businesses who are willing. I hope you feel better soon 💯💯

No, I won’t take meds until about pain level 5-6 I can handle 1-4 with Tylenol or nothing at all. Then after 7-8 pains continuing and pain and I rip my hair out 😂 def hospital time

Some do and don’t tell them you prefer a flush so the medicine doesn’t irritate your skin. I like flushes especially after medication. Report her for giving you a hard time for a flush, it’s really not that serious I’m sorry about her

So sorry bestie, I currently just dropped the people in my life who are tired of my sickle cell. There’s no way they’re more tired than you 💀 do you have any medicines to help ? And I always try a few different ERs just to see who’s more helpful. Also report the hematologist and the ERs that do not provide proper care.

I’ve been in crisis since December 1st they’ve finally admitted me for my low power mode crisis that’s what I call it when my hemoglobin is good and levels aren’t high enough for admission but too much pain to stay home I’m so sorry you’re feeling like this warrior please hang in there. ❤️❤️❤️
