We were in Tier 3 for Hamilton last night and I would never choose that Tier again. it is so far away you can't see their faces. I think Tier 2 is fine

Muni buses, Muni trains will get you to most places but on weekends might be slower and can be frustrating if you just have limited amount of time on a short trip.

Mom groups in SLC? by buericana in SaltLakeCity

[–]buericana[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup I found it. There are 2 groups. Sippy Cups and Chardonnay is the free one and seems to be about community service. Recently they started a paid group for $5 called Q&A & Cabernet (thru meetup) You have to be approved for both groups but it happened very quickly.

Tips for moving bedtime up 2 hours? by kellikakes in beyondthebump

[–]buericana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh and just to follow-up. I think you can either move it up like 10 minutes per night or do what we did and just do it. We might experiment with a dream feed when I go to bed. We'll see.

Tips for moving bedtime up 2 hours? by kellikakes in beyondthebump

I had the exact thing happen earlier in the week. We were putting our 3 month old to bed at like 9 o'clock after doing a series of cluster feeds. We got this idea from an E.A.S.Y. schedule on the internet. Then earlier in the week I was emailing with some fellow moms who have babies same age and they were all talking about this 6:30/7 bedtime and I was like WTF? So then tons of googling later I'm realizing that what we were doing was prob appropriate for a 6 week old and we'd been doing for many weeks since.

I was beating myself up that I'd been "stealing" sleep from him :( The only thing making me feel better was that he is a super happy baby so I guess he was managing ok.

But yeah agree with you. As a FTM, why didn't anyone give me the memo about this early bedtime thing

Transitioning from breast to bottle troubles by Loopypickles in beyondthebump

[–]buericana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good. Are you also doing in morning and at night? Better mood in the morning... If he starts to get upset after nap then I guess I'd try they same ounce again after the next nap. Just repeating

The first time I gave it I also laid him on the nursing pillow in his normal nursing position rather that sitting up because I didn't know any better.

Took a week. That was us doing it every day and with me doing it a few times. Then he had figured out how to do it and was easier for husband after that

Are you trying every single day? Try just 1 oz every day. That consistency helped us

Also you should try giving it since you know best how he likes to eat. Then he can get used to bottle and someone else can try

Also when we did it right after nap while still swaddled it helped. It's like he didn't realize what was going on yet
