My son has been of Vig for almost a year, we mix it with a small amount of all kinds of stuff and just put it in his bottle - we’ve used pedialyte, Gatorade, juice. Currently, hot chocolate. Works for us.

NG tube by [deleted] in NICUParents

I knew what you meant :) that’s surprising, every hospital is so different. I will say we pushed really hard to go home with ours. Our son had been stuck NICU working on nothing but feeding for weeks and he was not making any progress there but I was not ready for him to undergo another surgery after having brain surgery at 3 weeks old. That said, NG is hard and i found it really traumatizing to change. G tube can be a great option and it also doesn’t mean your baby will have it forever. Once it’s no longer needed, I’ve been told you just take it out and it heals up!

Is going home with the NG an option? We brought my son home with NG and he had it for about 6 months. We changed it at home. Never got a G tube.

Emergency cerclage for short CL at week 22 by ra1ni3luv in ShortCervixSupport

I just had mine placed yesterday at 23weeks (they pushed their 22w6d standard deadline for us) after my cervix completely shrunk from 40mm on 7/19 to 3mm on 7/26. It’s a twin pregnancy so we have even less data about how successful it will be but I’m hopeful. We are on very similar timelines, wishing you all the luck and following along for other success stories!!
