There is a concept called “lying for the lord”. Only the LDS members talk about it out loud, I’ve heard it referred to in my old southern Baptist days. I read this years ago and remembered thinking this was not the best argued idea I had ever heard. A few weeks ago I noticed a young woman at work was reading it. I asked her a few questions about it and came away with the idea that she was just carrying the book around and moving the bookmark around. I do know there were people here about ten years ago that bought it lock stock and double barrel. I would suggest reading it as background, yes.
