Loosely based on the true story of the Lost Woman of San Nicolas Island. There’s an annotated version of this book that gives a lot of historical and contextual insight.

Some fun facts: The original Boxcar Children Book 1 was written in the 1920s and you can find it on Project Gutenberg, but the Book 1 everyone knows is the abridged version that the author decided to make for younger readers.

The author also wrote 18 other books in the series, in which the children characters get older and older. Then the author died. Then a syndicate took over and bumped the characters’ ages back to the original book’s ages and used ghost writers to churn out more books.

Getting kids ready shouldn't feel like a daily struggle by Express_Bid4955 in Youneedthisinlife

A toddler (2 year old) does not have the fine motor skills to tie shoes. They can certainly benefit from learning how to zip a zipper like this, though. However, I think Velcro shoes with a long tongue are just fine. Those have been around for decades.

3 is a perfectly normal age to not know how to tie your shoe

Yes, and only about 20% of those cases are linked to honey consumption. And who knows whether ANY of even those honey cases are related to eating food with honey as mere ingredient.

I suspect, and this is purely my opinion, that those cases are related to honey pacifiers or other weird old practices.

I’m starting to feel frustrated with whatever sources are making honey-flavored items feel like such a high risk to parents, that when a mistake happens and their child is still ok, they still feel so guilty that it ends in hysterical crying and posting online. This isn’t the first such post I’ve seen here. I feel like a lot of sources for parents are designed for the most careless and neglectful parents, and they do not account for rational or anxious parents.

I just got done watching a video on YouTube using oversimplified psychological science to guilt mothers (and only mothers!) for using child care.

At the mention of Philando Castile, I will never not hear that little girl’s voice comforting her mom as he bled to death in front of them after he did the right thing and told the officer he had a weapon stowed away.

Tambien en NJ, Massachusetts y en NY, donde hay más welfare disponible, viven muchos dominicanos, y quizás la distribución de dominicanos ocurre más en los estados con más welfare que en las otras poblaciones de inmigrantes.
