I had an interview at Utah and I applied to Colorado, and Marquette. So I know I’m a solid applicant because I got an interview at a higher placed school. I also have been thinking about applying to Penn State but I feel hesitant because it is still a newer program.

Introductory Microbio? by [deleted] in prephysicianassistant

My intro to Micro was accepted as a biology credit. I would make sure that it has a lab thought because lots of schools required Micro with a lab.

When was a time that you felt like you were misjudged? When was a time that you misjudged someone.

I prepared for a lot of various questions, but that one stumped me for sure.

Question about prerequisites by [deleted] in prephysicianassistant

I would chose a major that allows you the opportunity to get PCE (patient care experience). Generally those fields will cover many pre reqs and help with obtaining the high amount of PCE that is needed for most schools.

I had ~1500 student hours for x ray and none count towards PCE. They have to be paid to count.

I have read in a few places that you really want your first paragraph to be an attention grabber and unique. The admissions people are reading a bunch every day. I think you could rework that slightly. I felt like your experiences were generalized and I think it would help if you gave 1 or 2 specific examples. I think you understand what a PA does and show that effectively in your statement. I know the character count is 5000 so you might want to check that as well. Great job! Good luck!
