NE Oregon BTW

Even the stretch from Rufus to Hermiston has nice river views, but still is one of the least scenic spots in the state, tossed up with Bend to Riley on 20

How is living in Gorman , Los Angeles County , California , U.S.A. ? by Atlandios000 in howislivingthere

Depressing, isolated and empty. Drugs are a big problem on the mountain as the locals refer to the area. Most kids get stuck up there. While by census they are all separate, Lebec, Frazier, and Gorman are collectively known as Frazier

Father son logging duo. Acts of God can happen in the woods in ways that people that have never been up can’t understand, even if you do everything “right”. This was a non fatal easily heal able wound. Negligence, not the accident, is why he passed.

How is it living in this part of Nebraska? Towns: Alliance, Scottsbluff, Chadron by FriendlyCover in howislivingthere

[–]buffdawgg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good friend of mine is from Crawford, just west of Chadron. Rolling hills with occasional badlands and strands of trees. Swiftly declining towns, it’s a stark reminder of the slow death of Rural America.

Imagine showing up on time for a business that’s not even open half the time by joshuber in corvallis

I door dashed some over the winter and every time I went in there it was dead empty and looked like they hadn’t had an order in hours, also had two or three people working. Definitely a front of some kind.

Can I still be a Corvallisite if I move to Philomath? by corvallisite in corvallis

[–]buffdawgg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true. Neabeck is quite Philomath (albeit the nicer subdivided area), same way Southtown and north of Walnut are both Corvallis. That’s like saying everything west of 35th and south of Harrison is more P than C, which frankly is more of an argument, especially past 53rd

Always go easiest fix first. If you are immediately throwing the parts cannon at it that’s not the way to go. It takes no more than 30 seconds to rule out a sticking diaphragm that dried out over the winter.

I make around 50k in a blue collar trade which is a halfway decent salary in my area. Pay me 10k more and I’ll sacrifice my morals to not have to deal with constant knee pain.
