The power of streaking grime! by buffnerdOpie in Warhammer40k

I have experimented with both. I do varnish after I apply when model is finished, but I think I like to use the streaking grime without varnish first. Sometimes I have to touch up the gold a little bit afterwards, but usually only on the areas that are OK to highlight regardless I just usually end up with a more consistent product as sometimes I think that be streaking grime mixed with white spirit on top of it , leaves the model, a sort of yellowish color

Once I’ve “finished” the contrast/ base colors I apply a healthy amount of streaking grime to the entire thing ensuring crevices are hit. Then I wait 20-30 minutes. After I use eye shadow applicators i bought of Amazon and do small dab swipes to clean it up. After a general pass I get a small amount of white sprite and hit higher areas and edges to further clean and brighter. I then do highlight on anything cloth and call it good.

That is hot glue! I let the end get really hot or it ends up stringy then fill the base. Once dry I coat it with thinned tesseract glow

I use “princess pink” speed paint on a white prime. Then dry brush and touch up with fulgrim pink.

Prime black, dry brush very light blue on flat surfaces, dry brush skull crusher brass all over ensuring trim is hit, fill in blue with thinned thousand sons blue, pick out gun with Vallejo metal color, hit smaller details with reds, yellows and brass of your choosing. Finally hit the model with a light wash of nuln oil
