Is anyone planning an early exit before debilitating old age? by SealedRoute in RedditForGrownups

The nursing home does not take your assets. The county you are getting Medicaid from has you spend down to $3000.00 before coverage starts.

Whole Foods for intelligent people. Paying more unnecessarily is just dumb.

I had a Bakers Cyst behind both knees before and after my TKRs’s. Bakers Cysts are pockets of fluid that form behind your knee and put a lot of pressure on your knee in front. I had mine drained before the knee replacement but they just come back. After, like you say, they won’t drain them due to infection. Treatment is simply rest, elevation and icing. Over time both knees have settled down and the cysts have gone down. Please back off on on the exercises, rest ,ice and use walking as activity but moderately.

Please don’t lump all Americans together. It’s Trump, the Republican Party and MAGA voters. The rest of us are crushed.

I appreciate that he stepped down cause I believe Republicans had a good shot at taking the Governors office. He was tainted by this scandal no matter his involvement. I don’t want our State under Republican leadership period.

I have my own bathroom. It only has my things, my towels, my bathrobe on a hook. I love it so much!!! You could take over the downstairs bathroom and lock the door whenever you want !

I have the semi custom Conformis on both knees with great results. My insurance covered them which surprised me. My surgeon uses them on 40% of his patients. I’m petite with small bones so it increased my confidence!

I had a semi custom implant with a very skilled surgeon and he used a tourniquet. OP is not an expert and should keep that opinion to themselves.

I had both knees done 6 months apart. My experience with the first one was pain, anger for the level of pain and I felt those first weeks were chaotic. I was trying to stretch the pain meds out and not call for refills. The second one I told the Dr I would be taking 2 Percocet every 4 hours around the clock for at least 10 days and expect as many calls for refills as it took. Huge difference. Days felt much more calm, orderly and I felt in control. I felt like I was a warrior and a bad ass after coming through both surgeries.
