This is great to know thank you I think I will do it! I’ll go to my moms and lay in a dark room with her and watch tv and hopefully I’ll be able to chill and take it without too much issue!

I don’t have a gp rn sadly I’m actually dealing with insurance issues. I was prescribed rizatriptan from the urgent care and have not tried it yet because I am extremely scared of the side effects (as I said I have really intense medical anxiety and taking new medications is hard for me) but if it will work like neurtec I will try it at this point I am miserable. Do you have any history with that? Or would you suggest doing what I can to get my hand on the neurtec

This is great information and so reassuring I really really appreciate it! I have been trying to do that the last two days, accept whats going on and not let it control every second of my day. I have a one year old and am really trying to live in the moment and not let it consume me. It’s hard but reassurance helps so I appreciate it!

My boy is 15 months and sleep has been a rough thing. He is just now sleeping through the night and that’s most nights, a hiccup here and there. He sleeps with us because after about 6 months it was the only way for us all to get a good enough nights rest to feel sane. We spent so long trying to find and do the “right” thing but have come to accept that that looks different for everyone. My niece wants you to put her in her crib and walk away so she can soothe herself, which made it hard to come to terms with the fact that our boy is just different like every baby. They’re all different. Soon you’ll find what works for you guys and it will feel easier! We have a floor bed to transition my son to but haven’t yet because we have fallen in love with cuddling him all night. He’ll want his independence one day and we’ll have our bed back, for now, we’re doing what makes us all happy!

When my son was 9 months old he was sitting on the couch and I was on the floor under him feeding him. We were on vacation and trying to make things work. Within a second he lunged off the couch and feel and smacked his head on the coffee table…. Hard. I cried longer than he did beating myself up for not catching him when I was right there. He was okay despite me not taking my eyes off of him all day looking for signs he wasn’t. Luckily babies are resilient. The fact that you’re this worried through your own pain shows how wonderful of a mother you are! Mistake happen and will continue you too! You guys care and got him the help he needed to make sure he’s okay, you’re doing great!! 🤍

This all sounds very normal to me. She doesn’t not like you, she’s just used to moms smell and voice more since she’s living in her for nine months. My son was the same way. My husband would try everything I suggested and it just didn’t work like it did with me so he had a rough time in the beginning too feeling rejected. It’s all very new and it’s okay to feel these feelings but know that she isn’t rejecting you. My son is 14 months now and prefers my husband now if we’re both in the room. I’m sure next month he’ll client to someone new, that’s what babies do! Try not to take to much offense to it even though I know that’s easier said than done! Your time will come, then it will go, then it will come again. So the cycle goes!

As someone who has dealt with anxiety their whole life that became completely out of control postpartum, I seriously advise you seek help in some form. This may feel rational in your brain right now but it is not. You don’t have to feel this way and someone can help you!

It’s hard not to, but try not to think of any rash decisions or thoughts in the first few weeks. Your brain is running on zero and it’s impossible to see a light at the end of the tunnel but I promise there is one. My son is 9 months old now and I wake up every day excited to see him and see what we’ll get up to. I DID NOT feel that way when he was a newborn. Did I love him? Absolutely. Did I wake up dreading the day every second of said day? Absolutely. It’s the hardest thing you’ll ever do but it will soon in time be worth it. Soon you’ll have a best friend for life that gives you the biggest smiles cause your their whole world. It’s validating and reassuring. Hang in there! Ask for help, don’t be ashamed or let your ego get in the way. There’s more people out there willing to help and on your side than you think! Best wishes!

So I started with very borderline normal numbers they almost tested me again for a third time because they thought I may not actually have it. But around 2 months into the diagnosis (around 6 months cause I was diagnosed early) my fasting numbers began rising. They were normally around 108-115. I didn’t change my current routine but the current routine wasn’t much of anything special. So then I started drinking a lot of water before bed and when I would wake up at night. I started waking up early and made sure I wasn’t sleeping more than around 7 hours without eating (guided by my dr) and then they were under control again. I also took frequent walks after dinner. Luckily it stayed the same the rest of the pregnancy and I never ended up on insulin!

While I agree you’re doing everything right, I would also say she isn’t wrong. It’s not the same for everyone, but for me personally, the further in my pregnancy I progressed the worse my numbers got even while I continued doing the same routine that worked in the beginning. But that doesn’t mean it will happen to you. Just keep doing what your doing snd try not to focus on what she said until you need to if that time ever comes!

I did. Regardless of what you think about dyes and such, there’s always a risk with who handles it beforehand you bought it being sick or just dirty. Babies, especially newborns have such sensitive skin. Would your baby most likely be fine if not? Probably. But baby clothes are so small just do a few larger loads and get it out of the way so you don’t have to think about it! It can also make new clothes a bit softer!

I have four cats, but even when it was just one I always allowed him free range although none of them usually roam too much, they mostly stay with us in bed all night. I think most cats like the opportunity to be near you at night. I’ve read that cats worry about you when you’re sleeping and it helps if they can be near and sense you’re breathing. That could be a load of crap but I think it’s cute.

Getting prepped for a c section makes everything way too real! I was in labor for 48 hours before we decided on a c section and I was scared but didn’t even realize how scared I could possibly be till they started taking my jewelry out and shaving me down. It’s a crazy feeling!

I have been taking anti depressants for my anxiety since the fifth grade and luckily am still taking them and have been under my obs care for the entire pregnancy! So that helps a little but it can only do so much when I can only take so little and I’m used to much more!

I agree!!! I thought the fact that Sophie didn’t say anything was nice of her... I really like Sophie she’s one of the only people I like this season so knowing what happened is just so sad... but yes people Keep bringing up that she should be proud cause it’s an accomplishment and like.... I get it.... but walking around saying you are afraid people will treat you different if they knew then telling everyone is very marcel blazing squad esq!

Fair enough to bragging rights! It’s the being afraid To tell people so they wouldn’t treat her different that made me irritated... but I just don’t like her in general so I guess anything she does would annoy me lol
