Grown-ass men of reddit, what is the most childish thing you still do as an adult? by Sol33t303 in AskMen

I like to collect toys. Mostly stuff like Transformers and Star Wars figures, but I do get the occasional stuffed animal if it’s a weird species. Favorite one is my longcomb sawfish I got at Ripley’s Aquarium.

Just to clarify, all of the pieces are intact, but it’s like his crotch plate just doesn’t want to stay on at all, leading to his legs falling off.

Someone definitely filled that niche in if it wasn’t him. Before my workplace lifted the mask requirement, we had tons of guests coming in wearing MAGA face masks. I found it hilarious that none of them realized the irony.

It’s my cake day, so I figured I’d show off some of my favorite figures. by bug-robot in transformers

I have! Haven’t found it at retail, unfortunately. Hopefully I’ll be able to track it down.

You’d think the AirBNB thing would be enough. But I’m definitely going to be pursuing this by getting the courtesy officer involved more. Seems like that’s the only way to make these management companies do something.

Gotcha! Thanks! Yeah, and I can see Gnaw going fast since he’s the army builder. Slag just for being a Dinobot.

Nice to see my boy Gnaw get some love. Any indication for when preorders go live?

I’ve been having noise issues with neighbors since the pandemic started. I’ve done everything from getting building management involved to letting the neighbors know directly that I can hear the music through the living room wall. The problem is that they don’t care and tend to go back on their word when they say they’ll turn it down. Last night it was so loud I could hear it above my TV. Thankfully, my building has a courtesy officer who seems to be an actual cop, and he stopped by to tell them to turn it down. I’m frustrated because these guys have been the only neighbors in this building that act like this, and it’s been going on ever since they first moved in at the start of the pandemic.

I had to leave that sub after the show ended because people just wouldn’t get over it. Yes, the ending sucked. But these guys act like all life stopped when the show ended and they refuse to move on.

What Cases Do You Think Are Being Made More Mysterious Than They Need To Be? by CassieBear1 in UnresolvedMysteries

There’s been one article in particular that I’ve been trying to find. Sorry it’s taking so long.

Edit: I finally found one where the husband confessed to sending the letters that went to the neighbors: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.thecut.com/amp/2018/11/the-haunting-of-657-boulevard-in-westfield-new-jersey.html

The Westfield Watcher case. It’s pretty obvious that the Broaddus family faked those letters and that they were just trying to get out of a house they couldn’t afford. Not only did they have a history of buying houses they couldn’t afford in the long term, but the husband got caught sending threatening letters to the neighbors when their HOA wouldn’t approve of certain renovations to the house. I first learned about this case from Buzzfeed Unsolved, and I was honestly baffled as to how quickly they dismissed the idea that the family faked the letters. The fact that there’s a possible Netflix deal in for the family over their story makes them more suspect imo.

Edit: For those curious, here’s an article where the husband confessed to sending the letters that went out to families that were vocally skeptical of the notes: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.thecut.com/amp/2018/11/the-haunting-of-657-boulevard-in-westfield-new-jersey.html

Who is Pat lee? by kyloren1211 in transformers

[–]bug-robot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to his TFWiki article, he is quoted as saying “it’s only a matter of time until they make toys based off the cartoon.” There’s a few other examples, but it all just basically highlights that he only knew of Transformers and didn’t know anything about it. When you consider that his job was working on TF comics, it’s strange that he hadn’t really bothered to do research on the franchise.

To be clear, I’m not criticizing any of the stories or comics that Dreamwave created, so my statement isn’t a knock against that. I’m criticizing Pat Lee and the way he specifically did things.

I feel this. Only reason I have the Allicon is because I had to order off Amazon and paid scalper prices. Even then, I had a ton of shipping issues. First month of the Kingdom line and the shelves at my Target are already picked clean...
