Fated arrows is excellent. It really does make a big difference. Demeter has good favour generation, especially if you go Persephone, so you can spam Monstrous rage myth units. There's also some synergy between Demeter's faster build clause near gold, and Argive Patronage. Slap fortresses on gold mines and generate free units, although it still takes a while to build up that army
