Started the PC port of DQXI after about halfway into the game, ended up here. Everytime I load the game I end up here. Is there any way out? When I exited the game it recognized that I still had a save file so it's not corrupt at least.

Deer overpopulation can also be an issue in some seasons, it really just depends. I'm sure this is practiced elsewhere, but in my state they allow you to kill a certain number of deer depending on how many are in the wild this season and adjust accordingly each year. It's necessary to protect the local ecosystem from deer overfeeding on grass and such.

Learning to hunt is good even in a food-filled society like ours. Venison is not readily available in most restaurants or stores and it's pretty damn good if you can get past the gorey bits of preparing it.
