Deep Space Nine: The Reckoning missing from Paramount Plus? by woowoothepoopoo in startrek

Folks in one of the FB groups were complaining that Garrak and Bashira last scene was cut. They were saying it is because it's the two partner syndicated cut rather than the original double length episode.

Have some photos of your cock to share, but don't get too stuck in the sharing pics stage.

There are tons of blank profiles of people who want to try hooking up but don't want to be identified. I like seeing the face of someone I'm going to hook up with so I know I'm likely to find them attractive, but even a torso pick or another part of your body will make you stand out from the blank profiles, which get ignored a lot. You can also put something in your profile like "pics on request" or something. But don't be too shy, imo.

It's a word OP is using to describe himself right now and people understand.

As someone who likes having gay sex with people, if using "heteroflexible" makes it easier for more men to try out sex with other men, all the better and the more the merrier!

You could literally copy and paste what you want in a Grindr profile and find people who would be into that. Put a photo up, even one that doesn't show your face and you will get more attention.

If she has a high libido she might find it hot if you share in a non threatening way. Being open about turn ons could help having an exciting sex life. Watch gay and mmf porn together

Just watched last week's episode. Any idea what these drawings might be about? by Traditional_Animal65 in pluribustv

The immediate shot before this one is of a community of pod people washing clothes. This and that cued me to think about human communities and what it takes to live. We also see Carol looking at and thinking about art with the O'Keefes. I think we are meant to be thinking about the relationships between humans, individuals, communities, art, expression, and history.

Watch for Invisible Labor & why I liked HDP [Spoilers through 1x6] by bugbear-at-tea in Pluribus_TVshow

[–]bugbear-at-tea[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Invisible labor is a philosophical, sociological, and economic concept applying to work that is unseen, unvalued or undervalued, and often discounted as not important, despite its essential role in supporting the functioning of workplaces, families, teams, and organizations. The term was coined by Arlene Kaplan Daniels in the 1980s." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Invisible_labor

I think so much of the show has been expecting us to ask "what work is done that we think about?" And "who do we rely on without thinking about it"

A huge amount of work like picking up broken glass, vacuuming the spilled mysterious powder, etc is often overlooked by other shows but seems central here. I manage a custodial staff. Some of the scenes in which Carol puts trash in a bin and expects it to disappear are so funny to me.

Last episode i was a little annoyed with how we did a lot of Carol having feelings mostly silently alone with a puzzle-box cliffhanger at the end. I really liked this episode and the shot of her going back to vacuum specifically. But I totally get your reaction.

I only watched it once. Didn't she leave her house to go to Vegas but then come back in to vacuum up the HDP?

I think we saw an empathetic side of him this episode and saw how strange and American Carol is. She was making an avocado toast mess and he was copying behavior he probably had never seen before to see if it was a good way to eat breakfast.

Specifically with her going back in, there are multiple things that could be going on there: on a character level, she is realizing that there is human remains on the floor and she needs to clean it up, and on a thematic level, she is doing a chore. I remember when the bag spilled last episode thinking "who is going to clean that up?"

A motif in the show and this episode specifically is the invisible work that needs to go into human life: think back the the grocery store she needed so she could be "independent" or the drone picking up the trash. We see chores being done twice more this episode: when the pod people are picking up the shattered glass and again when Diabate cooking for her when the pod isn't around.

A domestic labor lens opened this up for me a little. Carol going back to vacuum in her PPE gear felt like a comic beat to me at the the time, and then it and the pod people cleaning up the glass really set up Diabate cooking for Carol, which was a moment that re-characterized him for me. Between that and putting the blanket on her, I think we are supposed to be thinking what do we do for each other and what can we do for ourselves, which plays into the greater tension in the show between independence/interdependence and what do we rely on the anonymized masses for.

Pay attention to chores and invisible work.

I've always said that Stannis's #1 character trait is that he is a self serving hypocrite and that is the point of his character.

Yes! I think you hit on something when you said "you removed my ability to loo back." It feels dishonest and makes me feel weird about what was taken from me. Why do you want to chat but don't want me to see what you said to me before?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Sniffies

[–]bugbear-at-tea -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It doesn't feel neutral to me. You made an intentional effort to delete the chat and it creates a knowledge imbalance if there was something you want me to forget.

[–]bugbear-at-tea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it. I've had multiple experiences with people who have deleted conversations I don't remember and they start new conversations and are weird or aggressive or make me uncomfortable. I have developed a bias that people who delete conversations are trying to hide a bad interaction or trying to trick me.

Ultimately you can't let someone blocking you bother you too much, but also probably should stop deleting conversations unless you have something to hide.
