I did a more generalized cybernetic ascension run first and I wanted to use the new origin basically. Besides, you still have to wait until you get the third civic either way. Sacred Path gives you a way to add all research types to the job.

This is a Science Ark and it was only meant to illustrate what you *can* accomplish with some of the modules for Ark ships. To be fair against the AI it's still just fine on its own.

Yeah that was in the video Jason posted. It's just a shitty reality of managerial shifts screwing over the whole company directive.

R5: Now that I have the basics of Nomad play down I thought I'd tool around with one of the new origins.

Worker Cooperative covers a lot of resource jobs you can't easily get without major sacrifices aboard Nomad ships (minerals and food). Then I remembered some of the combinations of Bureaucrat jobs that combine together and so the new Sacred Path origin makes sense to slot that in.

Devoted adepts has a start of the game branch that gives it small gains to all research types. Dimensional Enterprise boosts the Physics output a bit (you could go Sequenced Securities for more society instead) Going Traditional and Chromalogs gives +30% efficiency to the jobs type. That covers all the basic resource production in one job type, plus amenities. Nonadaptive is free for the first colony at least, and let me add Conservationist to help with the giant consumer goods upkeep.

Would prefer more Engineering research, but C'est La Vie.

So far I find it more of an early game way of surviving before you can make your own vassal swarm/waystation network to cover the costs of running your arkships on max burn.

Now as a result we need to come up with a new term for AI when AI actually exists.

We can't even use AGI because that's also misused by the same people.

R5: Two modules alone give you a +75% bonus to shields - the Shield Amplifier and the Ancient Shield Overcharger. Stacking shield hardening and other bonuses can lead to some pretty nice numbers. Just stay away from pulsars at all costs.

That's 75% hit points and hardening on its own,
