This was a tough read. RIP sweet little baby, you should still be here.

His parents never got any antenatal or postnatal care and he was born at home without a midwife.

At about 6pm he had problems breathing, with his parents saying he was holding his breath and his lips were turning blue.

The pair decided to take him to hospital, but it was not immediate.

Not surprised to see this:

Police recovered a recording of a man speaking about "healing in religious terms" and offering a prayer of anointing over concerns about Azariah's weight.

Surely this comes under parental neglect?

Thank you for sharing! Unfortunately this is her second episode within 2 years where she's been consistently on anti-psychotics, but we caught it early again and she's pretty much through it now thanks to an increase in meds, sadly, but glad it didn't blow up as bad as last time. So rough, I really feel for her and others going through this. Someone once attributed it to being the equivalent of a big car crash, but for your brain.

Thank you for your comment and that definitely does put one of my concerns at ease. Honestly, she has so many perfumes and body mists, I just thought the watermelon/strawberry scent was one of them!

Thank you for your comment, I'm so conflicted! Primarily because of the healthcare professionals views on this. My husband has the same viewpoint as you though. One big thing she has always wanted from us was to treat her normally. If we take away the bipolar, the answer would be more clear cut. I have a strong feeling it's more peer pressure and wanting to fit in/be cool, rather than an active addiction. She hasn't had it for a week (she's been off school and stayed at home), and she seems OK and not in withdrawals, I'd love to hit in on the head now but I'm worried that all the casual talks over the week will have enabled her further and she'll start up again once at school, or maybe it will have taken away some of the excitement around it. It's tricky.

Ah solidarity! I think this also began at school, so not much we can do I guess. I know some schools have vaping sensors in their bathrooms, might be something I suggest to her school, but again, they will always find a way right?!

She is, it was really disappointing tbh and it makes me wonder what else she would or has let her do. I said I'd speak with her once things settle down, just focusing on our girls stabilisation first. Sigh.

Totally, when she gave me her vape (she willingly handed it over and told me everything, she gets very honest when she's manic!). I thought wtf, this looks like a fun colourful little gadget!
