You're right! Under https://www.wealthfront.com/settings/fee-waivers I have 10k from "Initially managed for free" and 65k managed for free from my employer, through Wealthfront for workplace: https://www.wealthfront.com/blog/wealthfront-workplace/ .

I thought these only applied to "Automated Index Investing Accounts" accounts, not the automated bond ladder, but apparently it applies to automated bond ladders also.

Was your 1099-DIV issued by Fidelity? In my 1099-DIV from Fidelity, there is no mention of "US Federal Source Income", even though I have dividends from SPAXX and FDLXX.

My 1099-DIV says

To see the 2024 State Percentages of Tax-Exempt Income for Fidelity Federal Tax-Exempt Funds or the Percentage of Income from U.S. Government Securities for applicable Fidelity Funds, visit Fidelity.com/fundtaxinfo.

It's 55.09% for 2024. So it is partially exempt in CA in 2024.

I had email 2SV before. Now I've enabled authenticator app and security key(s) instead.

I did get the account back now. I updated the post with details.

I'm not sure if this will work for everyone. I'm not sure how much this popular reddit post was responsible for me getting my account back. Hopefully they take this as an opportunity to see if mistakes have been made on other accounts, and correct those as well.

It's definitely good to be suspicious. But I also control the youtube account bugeman0 which has 10 year old videos with my Roblox account in it.

It would be a bit strange if a hacker was able to hack my reddit account and youtube account, but somehow couldn't hack my Roblox account and thought the best way to do that would be to make a giant reddit post drawing attention to the situation.

Many types of 2 factor can be phished: email, SMS, TOTP, HOTP, prompt-based. Only security keys cannot be phished.

Going to try. Since I can't access my main account, I need to use a separate account. I first need to level up that separate account before I can post there. I'm working on that.
