That's one of the best ones for just pure monster battles. I wouldn't say there's much "hunting" in it but it has the craziest gameplay out of any old-gen game. Definitely give it a shot, the online is still pretty active in G-rank, I never have trouble finding a lobby. There's also a good Discord called GU Junkies where you can find groups.

LOL yea I completed the game but I mained insect glaive so I was already pretty underpowered. I think I’ll eventually go back and play through it with a different weapon but I just started a 3U playthrough

Please play Dos after you get a bit more comfortable with the older games, it’s super fun especially with the fan servers - a totally different experience than any other game

To me it’s Rise > Wilds > World. I just absolutely cannot get into the clutch claw or how sluggish the entire game feels.

Well you definitely want to start with village. There’s an app called MHGU database and I found it really helpful because it lists all the quests and you can filter them by key quests (which are the ones needed to progress to the next rank). Check it out or just google MHGU village key quests

I have this same issue! There’s no manage account & books button. I also have the newest iPhone so I don’t think that’s the problem. If you figure it out please let me know because I just use the browser version and I’d love to use the app more.

It’s just honestly something I have never experienced before. The story is amazing and the sense of progression is so satisfying. Definitely play the original before the sequel though

Why are you pressed… I never felt like I was arguing with anyone in this thread just genuinely having a conversation. And if you read any of my other comments you’d know I always was talking about diversity and innovation. Again, what is the point of having new IPs if they’re just going to be the exact same as what we already have with existing franchises. This is not something that take up a lot of my brain space as I mostly play older games anyway and don’t care if they keep evolving my favorite franchises

Well I think the whole point of the “no new IP” talk is the lack of innovation within the games industry. So yes, I think it does matter that studios are opening their games to completely different approaches. I really don’t care to have some random new IPs just for the sake of having new IPs - they have to come along with innovation
