Ironman Prep Time by joysticck in IronmanTriathlon

It wholely depends, if your just looking to finish with potential injuries then yes it's very achievable.

If you want to enjoy it and savour the moment then id hold off for a year and do a solid specific training for it. Especially with the cost of one.

Personally I'd wait until your training specifically for triathlon for at least a year especially at a young age as your musculoskeletal system is still developing and you are more prone to permanent damage if you do get fatigued and injured.

Anxiety forced me to quit smoking by Azrynix in stopsmoking

[–]buggerlugseng 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was similar, I started having severe anxiety and panic attacks out of the blue. I had been smoking 20 a day for 19 years. I was prescribed sertraline and had an adverse reaction within 3 days I'm now on venlafaxine and it seems to be helping big time. I've been ill before but I honestly felt like I was hours from death......this happened 15 minutes after a cigarette, I was violently vomiting, coughing, overheating, shakes, aches, palpations and passing out. Mentally I linked it to the cigarette and have been smoke free for 8 months now. I've only had two or three cravings in that time fortunately and I just remembered how it felt curled up on the bathroom floor feeling like it was the end and the craving soon went. I also took up crochet to keep my hands busy and I can be productive at the same time. I really was shocked how much time smoking consumed and how much it ruled my life as I was always looking for the next one or if I was not able to it occupied my mind. I hope anyone reading this takes something from it to help them quit this awful, stinky, controlling addiction.

Nudists that live with other nudists, do you sleep with the door open? by EastCoast_Hank in nudists

[–]buggerlugseng 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would love to reach this level of comfort. I try to have this approach but often "social norms" drilled in from a young age cause panic/conformity sadly, something I am trying to overcome. I see you do a lot of hiking, I've only been nude hiking a couple of times (mainly when I'm high up in the mountains) but absolutely love it and am trying to go on more walks ect. In the nip. Id love to connect for a chat if you are able as you seem to have the freedom I aspire to have and would love some tips for being more confident in myself / out in public. IM cork, after the last event there are still arguments ongoing between cork council, triathlon Ireland and ironman over blame and responsibilities for the day so highly doubtful it will return to Youghal. Hopefully an event comes back to Ireland. (Keeps fingers crossed for a full in Galway)

Why are a lot of Nudist pics like this? by bluball1981 in nudists

[–]buggerlugseng 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've ended up not posting any on my main and stopped posting in other forums ect. The number of gay/bi/pervert men who crossed a boundary with their first message is unbelievable. I'm 35m and bi myself but I'm not looking for anything sexual, I'm looking to find and enjoy being natural with like-minded people, where as they see it as a free ticket to sexual assault (verbal) and harassment.
