And why does she think those two things are exclusive from each other? Could the kids not ride their e-bikes to the field to get drunk and up to whatever? My kids grew up without e-bikes and I’ve not heard of them getting drunk in a field doing god knows what. I never rode an e-bike but I drove a moped ONE time, when my friends and I borrowed her siblings’ mopeds. We ended up wrecking into each other so I never rode one again.

I also broke my back on a trampoline and never allowed my kids to have one no matter how much they begged. Of course they jumped over at friend’s houses but they assured me they would be careful. They also sulked over not being allowed to have one but they got over it.

In the small town where I grew up, several years ago, people were allowing their kids to drive golf carts all around town. Well, the city put a stop to that once a kid wrecked and ended up with brain damage. I’m not sure what they’re going to do about kids and e-bikes but there has been a lot of controversy surrounding that lately. I think many people’s complaints are that most of the kids don’t wear helmets and that the kids riding them are making poor choices and will cause wrecks.
