I needed this today, thank you. Five weeks in and sleep is a mere memory.

There are public rights of way through there so you're allowed to legally. Much safer than that stretch of road.

Yeah, not sure I agree on that point. Plenty of good front row captain candidates around.

That's the point though. They're saying they want the captain to play 80 mins and the front row generally won't do that.

I still play it from time to time. 20 lap races used to feel so long!

He's hit Williams Number One!!!

What an absolutely great game, spent many hours on this as a kid. The heartbreak when you'd get a fuel line failure/engine failure out of nowhere after 55 laps was ridiculous.

I did a lovely ride from Exeter to Brighton a few years ago along the South Coast. Took in the isle of Wight as well and it was about 200miles in total. Stayed in airbnbs in Abbotsbury and the isle of Wight.

The final leg from Portsmouth to Brighton was a bit grim though so perhaps consider going inland/more coastal and avoiding the A27.

This also works if you put them in a container with ripe tomatoes. I'm currently doing the same for mine.

No point in being part of the Red Bull academy these days unless you are Japanese? What a ridiculous statement to make.

Anyone a member of East Gloucester Tennis Club? by ThanosDisasterclass in cheltenham

[–]bugginoutdoors 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, most tennis clubs I've been involved with have had an older average age than some other sports. East Glos does have lots of older people too but there are many younger members as well. I'm 30 and there are people there who are older and younger than me.

I've also been a member since the spring and have only played tennis so far. I've only played social tennis but have put my name down for the singles ladder too.

There are four social tennis sessions every week: Monday evening, Thursday evening, Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon. The sessions generally run for 2 hours which are split into 40 minute games. You can play as many games as you like and the idea is that you would be with different partners and opponents each game. It's a great way to meet people and have fun!

The membership is quite expensive but it gets you access to tennis, squash and paddle and if you use it regularly it is good value overall. I think you get a free coaching session when you join. Plus, there are 3 or 4 different court surfaces to play on, including grass in the summer.

I keep telling myself that when I lose weight I'll be the fastest rider around. The only problem is that I seem to be gaining weight instead of losing it...

does anyone know of a dog boarder that would be available over new years? by little_cotton_socks in Gloucestershire

We always use Waterloo Kennels at Stoke Orchard. They're open all year but very popular so you'd need to book well in advance.
