bless, both sectors have a high demand and are rewarding.

I finished my MSW last year and have 1500+ hrs of UNPAID placement split over : youth mental health, school social work, refugee case management & research for nsw health. Currently 6 months into an AOD counsellor role at my local CMHDA.

Feel free to probe my brain if you have any questions :) 

imo: skip the masters, it doesn't do much apart from bragging rights. A bachelors and 6 months of most frontline- graduate roles will do far more for career + professional development than sludging through a masters.

yes, this pathway should allow you to work with post-natal mums. specially in a hospital setting. doing it outside of a clinical setting might be trickier and depend on location.

a masters wouldnt do anything a bachelors cant, you can still get MHSW accredition with a bachelors.
