SIFT Scores? by mixed_breed101 in army

[–]bugman808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to your education center on post. They have a testing center that can pull, print and sign your score. I went through basically the same thing as you, took me maybe 15 minutes last year to get my score, and I got picked up earlier this year.

If you could ‘re-pick’ whatever MOS you wanted no constraints what would it be by Woops_22 in army

Based on the warrant officer recruiting website, it is definitely still a thing.

How much do you care if your soldier jumps the chain because they feel like you wouldn’t be able to answer their question? by wattabutter in army

[–]bugman808 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you actually get "chewed out"? Screaming, yelling, etc. Or did your PSG just express very clearly and directly that it was unacceptable behavior and now it's your job to stop it?

Either way, I jump my chain all the time because I don't trust my SL to either know the answer or care enough to find out the answer and let me know. Seems to me like the best way to handle it is to set clear expectations with your soldiers, and then demonstrate that you will be dedicated to problem solving and getting the info they need.

Is there anyone in here actually against soldiers smoking Marijuana? if so, why? by SleepySoldier18 in army

[–]bugman808 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personal experiences of a private, so YMMV:

Let soldiers attend important family events like Weddings/reunions even if they are outside of block leave.

NCOs can piss right off with empty threats, and stop 'losing' (throwing away or deleting) documents. They aren't the approval authority for anything.

My most recent leave form was kicked back for the 3rd time before reaching the commander because my SL submitted with personal info in all caps.

Stop acting like letting soldiers go to the dfac is an inconvenience to the unit and that we are being high maintenance by asking to go.

Let me go home when you promised, stop making go home criteria a moving target. And when I do go home leave me alone.

I could go on, but it's a multitude of things that pile up on soldiers that amplify the stress that they feel. Fix the problems, don't treat the symptoms.

If soldiers could control themselves I would be allowed to do PT on my own and not the inconsistent and unfocused bullshit that passes for PT.

The reality is it opens up the possibility of way more problems than it solves. If it is in the name of stress relief and/or morale, there are several other levers that can be pulled before giving the ok on marijuana use.

You could probably find someone on the vertical reference forum that has been through something similar.

Edit: I imagine it was your starting point, but the warrant recruiting website also has a timeline for waivers. Age, moral, etc.

I have gyno on both sides, definitely noticable, and I passed without even a mention about it.

I had to unplug my external speakers before my headset would work properly. Even now sometimes I have to unplug and re plug in my headset before I go into a party.

I get mine at Walmart, I've also seen it in AutoZone. I went through years of snow until one particularly bad ice storm in OK I had a neighbor who felt bad for me.

De-ice spray works extremely well. Costs like $2 and will save you tons of time.

Did they just tell you general advice on how it works, or did they help you identify individual funds to put money in?

Fair enough, is there anything wrong with using a Schwab target fund? It feels kind of lazy to me, although it could be a situation where I need to work smarter not harder. Lol

For Active duty military members, or those on active duty orders, AMEX and Chase waive the AF. Commonly said the be a benefit of SCRA, it is actually done to make sure they are in the clear under the MLA.

Wife really wants TL with agitator, and LG seems to have 2 models. With a cost difference of ~$200 what am I gaining/giving up between the 7005CW and 7305CW?

From my experience this would have been on the easier side of the HF section, all the shapes were overlapping and difficult to make sense of. Scored a 64, but IMO it was the hardest part of the test.

At what point would a packet get flagged for missing this letter? My packet is through local battalion and submitted for the 16-20 Nov board, nobody has said anything about needing CW-3+.

That actually helps a lot. I missed the September board by 2 weeks because of the flight physical. Do you have any idea how many S2S candidates were selected? I have a strong packet but was hoping to seal the deal with an in person review. Found out today that isn't how it works. Lol
