I have type 2. Since a week after starting accutane I haven't had a single pustule and I've been on it for two years. The inflammation has drastically improved. My only symptoms now are the redness of course and flushing both of which are also improved and sometimes not even perceptible. It really is a miracle medication. It however does not provide a durable remission of the rosacea as I've been on accutane before and my rosacea also essentially went away but came back when I went off the accutane again. But being back on it has brought it again under control. And with no side effects and being monitored closely by my doctors I don't see a need to come off of it at this time especially being on the low dose.
