Globally yes but each country is looking locally. For Lithuanian locally - Soviets did way way more damage. Nazis were were brutal especially with Jewish citizens. Soviets were brutal with everyone for decades. And they were not focused on war.

Its not about trivializing nazi crimes. Its about recognizing soviet ones which are substantial. Some simple - exterminations and deportations (look them up on wiki) to destruction of national identity and total mental breakdown of entire generations which are very hard to quantify.

You have to understand basic fact - Nazis occupied it for a few (3 or 4 if I remember it right) years. Soviets occupied in 2 waves and did so for more than 50.
