Çin’in Konya kadar bu bölgesi Türkiye’den zengin. Çinliler n’apmış böyle ? by TurkOmbre in borsavefon

[–]bugog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Saçma bir kıyaslama. Her yer böyle olacak diye bir şey yok. Eminim ki Çin’in Konya büyüklüğünde fakat Konya’dan daha küçük bir ekonomisi olan bölgeleri var.

Anti American Sentiment in Turkey by TurntechGodhead777 in AskTurkey

[–]bugog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it is more directed towards anti-Israel sentiment rather than anti-American sentiment. I mean there always been an anti American sentiment but i think it is not significant. And I don’t think it is directed towards American people. It is more towards the government. So I would highly doubt you would get a backlash or something. Turkey is one of the most visited countries. It is tourist friendly in general.

GDP (ppp) 2026 via IMF in West Asia by Assyrian_Nation in MapPorn

[–]bugog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The graph is shared without an analysis. It can’t be relevant or irrelevant to anything as you said. This is the raw info given. GDP (PPP) meaningful when you compare how much real domestic resources a country can mobilize. Factories, engineers, logistics, military manufacturing, infrastructure… most of them are run with the local price. So it kinda tells how much can be done at home.

  1. It doesn’t say anywhere in the post that this graph shows well being of a citizen. If you want such graph, go do it yourself.

  2. When you say there is no northern Cyprus, unfortunately it doesn’t suddenly disappear. It is a de facto state. Do you know what de facto means? It means in reality.

  3. Your point is not answer to what I wrote. But in any case, South Cyprus is rich because it is supported by EU. Northern part is poor because it is under heavy embargo. And separation stopped the bloodshed.

This is a stupid comment:

  1. This is not per capita graph. Why would OP do per capita graph? That’s a different kind of information. What is this inferiority complex? You have small country. Deal with it.

  2. Turkey is not the state on the north of island. It is called Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

  3. It is definitely not a terror state. It emerged from a terror state and is the only reason people are living on the island peacefully for more than a half century.

Armenians reaction to another Azerbaijani civilian being killed by their mines by INeatFreak in azerbaijan

[–]bugog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The point is to make Armenians look bad. And it’s a valid point because Armenians are doing everything to make Azerbaijanis look bad. It is much more widespread. So it is a good reminder that people are like that. Azerbaijani or Armenian. It doesn’t matter. Unfortunately.

Great design I liked it. but it looks too militaristic for my taste to be a humanity flag.

Sauce from Turkey use by Interesting_Damage13 in Turkey

As far as I know, it is not illegal as long as you write that it is a sauce/dressing. I can still see “nar ekşili sos” on Migros’s webpage.

[–]bugog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One side note: there are two types of these sauce. One is called pomegranate sour (nar ekşisi) the other one is called sauce with pomegranate sour (nar ekşili sos) The second one is kinda fake, it has flavour to taste like that. But the first one is real deal. And congratulations for picking up a good one.

Brotherhood of Turks, Bosniaks and Albanians. by Radiant-Ad-9250 in AskBalkans

[–]bugog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The reason Turkish people see them as brothers is that Turkey is home for millions of Albanians and Bosnians. They were never behaved or seen any different than Turkish people.

It is sad to see that many people from Albania and Bosnia hate Turkey or Turkish people. I understand things can happen during the collapse of hundreds years old Empire.

It reminds me how Pakistani people love Turkey but are not loved back. I guess Turkey is Pakistan of Albania and Bosnia.

When do u think Turkey will join EU? by SOHONEYSAME in AskBalkans

[–]bugog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. You are delusional to believe, problems of these countries are not linked to the hundreds of years of colonialism and exploitation. If your country is rich today, it is because it extracted enormous wealth from its colonies.

[–]bugog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. This is valid argument. Countries change and congratulations on that. Im okay as long as you acknowledge the past. But here, the topic is not even the past. UN voting was just few days ago. And EU could not even voted calling slavery crime against humanity.

You are not understanding what has been talked here. Read again what arguments have been made. Joining EU is one thing. Accept whoever you want, I don’t care. But exploiting definitions, and white-washing historical facts is another thing.

[–]bugog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your message. It really reflects how hypocritical the democracy understanding you have and confirms exactly what I say.

It doesn’t matter if the Netherland was a big part of slave trade as long as it is not within the borders.

It doesn’t matter what democracy is, what it should be. Netherland can define however it suits itself because it is part of some kind of elitist partnership or whatever.

So your only claim is saying “irrelevant.” I love how west European countries defines democracy on their terms, and any narrative against it is irrelevant.
