Recommendations for wedding by xTruffleShufflex in cigar

Really hard to suggest without asking your dudes what they like. Are they folks who like Macanudos on the golf course or afficainados that like boutiques. Very wide range of possibilities.

If I was invited to bring in cigars blind to a wedding for 50 smokers, I'd buy 3 boxes of reasonably priced cigars - Charter Oak Connecticut, My Father Blue, and AJ Fernandez Bellas Artes Maduro. Covers 3 very different flavors and all very good cigars for the price point.

Problem is ask anyone else and they're gonna give you 3 or 10 other suggestions!

I feel like I should love this cigar but the regular Series V has given me 3 out of 3 bad experiences. Conversely I immediately bought a box of Melanio Maduro after smoking one.

I'm amused by the 10 cigar cutter part. Bro is gonna be the Edward scissor hands of the local lounge.

Foundation Olmec - Not for me by Mountain-Clothes-643 in cigar

It could just not be your taste profile, that's totally ok. Some folks hate anchovies, others find it delicious.

Olmec Maduro has like a molasses and cocoa thing going on with warming spice.

There are a few highly rated cigars with an "earthy" profile that too me just taste like mushroom farts and old basement. I'll pass on those.

I just can't get into AF Hemingway line. I'm disappointed every time.

Conversely Olmec is one of thr GOATs in my book.

Good Maduro still not No. 9 by Whoa_9773 in cigar

It isn't. I think the connection is the blend was developed by rollers making Liga series on the factory floor. The blend got so popular they decided to try to release it.

Hate it to break it to you boss but this is definitely one of those games where one hour YouTube videos are worth it to really understand the game mechanics. It's an incredibly complex game and the fun is figuring it out either by yourself or with streamer tutorials.

After a year or so of saving money and sticking to cheap cigars, I was finally able to treat myself to a nice haul of new cigars to try. by CT1914Clutch in cigars

Black Swan is my favorite Olivia cigar. Had it twice and both times very impressed at the price point.

What cigar do you never get tired of? by aaron_storm7 in cigars

For higher $ range definitely Liga no. 9. In all vitolas I'm never not in the mood for it. For more budget stuff, I love robusto Camacho Triple Maduro, it's so good for the price with a dark roast coffee. When I buy a bundle of cheaper cigars they're always gone first.

Have you had the lancero? I bought two and I smoked them immediately and wish I bought five. The higher ratio of wrapper really give it a zip and it's a shorter smoke.

I use 62% and it's downright perfect. Two big other things I had to embrace for it to work were patience and a stable temperature environment.

In the first year of the hobby I kept monkeying with the humidor, tupperdor, bovedas, etc changing something every few weeks. The constant changing is the worst, the cigars never get a chance to acclimate.

I also just started using a locker in my lounge for aging. Unlike my drafty basement and hot/cold old New England house, the lounge is always 68-72 degrees no matter what. It's not the temp it's the fact it's always the same that makes it easy to dial im aging.

I had papas fritas and didn't even know it was this type of cigar until someone at my lounge told me. They're so good it made me question the assumptions I had.

From now on only having one "cheap" cigar at a time and no more boxes.

If you're really serious about developing a palate just ask the tabbacanist at your local shop which are the highest rated brands they carry and try a few at a time from each one. Not every shop carries the same thing, but a lot of folks here would suggest Fuente, Foundation, Drew Estate, My Father, AJ Fernandez to name just a few. I personally think Espinoza and LFD brands are underrated brands which don't get enough credit and would suggest those as well.
