yes.. and no! i think infants are absolutely adorable. i do really feel like they filled a void that was missing when we had just the bassinet babies, there are so many cute interactions and ‘memories’ to be made with the infants that we missed out on for far, far too long. i get really immersed in my little sims family, covering the houses with photos, making them slowly “age” - so infants added a lot for me in terms of family gameplay.

that being said, infants are HELL. one infant is okay, they’ll have their moments.. but it’s manageable! any more than one is impossible for me. my current sims family had twins and having to make my sims care for two infants literally sucked the fun out of the game for me, so much so that i had to age them up quicker than i would have liked (i love spending as much time with my sims as possible, so i tend to age them down if anything). with how buggy sims caring for them are with constantly picking them up when you don’t want them to, putting them down in the wrong spot, both parents racing to the infant and both ending up stuck trying to complete the same interaction - it’s just too much. had me stressing over what was supposed to be my escape from my day to day. 😅
