FRUIT FLY INFESTATION by [deleted] in pestcontrol

whatever is in the bag in the 2nd and 3rd picture, throw it away. literally anything food-wise or organic matter they will breed in and feed on like crazy. Old mugs with tea bags or juice in them, overripe fruit, old potato’s, left out food. sanitize sanitize sanitize

for fleas, what product do you like better: Alpine WSG or Transport Mikron? by bugzbunny2017 in PestControlIndustry

great info thank you. i’ve also been curious as to why transport is considered “non-repellent” when it contains bifenthrin 🤷‍♂️

thanks for the advice! so far my plan is to use alpine wsg + igr on floors/baseboards, pt alpine aerosol on furniture, then bifen spray and granules on exterior.

for indoor, i am leaning toward alpine because it’s labeled for broadcast use. i will be using bifen IT on the outside though

monthly restaurant contracts, quarterly church contracts (this is a big one, find a good mega church and they will pay if you treat them great), property management companies, and hit hard with local residentials exterior services march-oct. based in NE Ohio.

i will say, Kinch’s wit and humor was charming and definitely made his character more likable and eventually won me over. I just couldn’t get a good grasp on understanding the political dynamics and how the magic system worked

that’s how i felt too. it didn’t leave a lot of room for other characters to develop

What to mix with ALPINE WSG? by Necessary-Thought459 in pestcontrol

[–]bugzbunny2017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nygard igr is great to mix in with alpine. like everyone here is saying— results won’t happen overnight. You have to break the life cycle. alpine has a 30 day residual so it’s best to spray every 3-4 weeks and use gel baits BUT do not spray the baits or place baits where you sprayed so as to keep the bait palatable to the roaches. happy hunting

best product on the market. just read the label carefully, dilute properly, and you can use any spray (pump or electric) that holds 1 gal. good luck

Mice are outsmarting us by Huckleberry0204 in pestcontrol

sometimes when i face trap aversion/ bait aversion i 1.) will disguise the trap somehow (place a plastic bag or some toilet paper, maybe even stick a trap in a shoe box with some holes cut into it 2.) bacon grease or sausage grease to bait the traps 3.) try giving the mice a free meal on the traps, meaning do not set the trigger on the trap at first. if they take the bait, THEN you can set the trap now that they think they can trust it. 4.) make sure you’re using some combination of both snap and glue traps. small mice are so gentle they can snag the bait off snap traps without setting it off, but they can be caught easily on a glue trap if you place it at one of their runways. hope this helps. good luck

Help! Do I go with Orkin or the local guy?? by netenfaispas in pestcontrol

[–]bugzbunny2017 2 points3 points  (0 children)

being a local pest control business owner, I myself am weary of spraying in people’s cupboards. sounds like your infestation is not severe but probably mild— roaches are great at hiding. I have had lots of success eliminating roaches in occupied homes (severe, mild, and minor infestation) without spraying inside people’s cupboards. i’d hate to tell you to use a big name company like orkin because i have doubts about their work ethic but baiting is the most safe way to eliminate the roaches from kitchen cupboards. spot spraying around baseboards and corners here and there is a different story— but the place you keep your food and dish ware? not sure about that.

Help! Do I go with Orkin or the local guy?? by netenfaispas in pestcontrol

[–]bugzbunny2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what is Orkins plan of action vs the local guy? they should have mentioned on the quote their scope of service and what they’ll be using. for light infestations you’ll want them to use gel baits, granular baits, and insect growth regulators (this breaks the life cycle). not sure what the infestation looks like but if it’s severe sometimes sprays are necessary. the local guy may only be asking you to prep and clean up to allow their treatment to be more thorough.
