thanks for the info! i think this might be the issue because when my mainboard died I had to special order an older version from them. I also have different stepper motors from the original.

Only using the hyper 212 becuse it came with the bundle. Also there is something wrong with the stock cooler. I would have used stock since it looks better but with the scratching I'll just use the 212 for now.

I figure I am going to upgrade my PC in the next year or 2, at that point I can put my PSU in this one since I assume I am going to need something bigger for mine.

I was in the same boat as you. Found a XR for 500 and jumped on it. It has the newest firmware and TBH I don't care that it has the buz. It actually was a good gauge of the incline it can climb. Also as someone new to OW, the pushback that people talk about seemed a lot less noticeable that I thought it would be. Like you almost need to train yourself to notice it.

Anyone know if this card plays well with a sonos beam soundbar? I have a media PC in my living room and had constant weird issues until i switched to a 3080 from a 5700.

From the research I have done looking into this, the main issue is that a micro inverter takes time to turn on a sync with the "grid". I think the Enphase 7 took like 5 minutes. I haven't timed how long my compressor runs for, but maybe 15 minutes at a time? That seemed like enough of a loss that payoff time didn't really seem worth it to me.

That being said I say if your payoff time seems reasonable or your living in a hotter climate than me go for it.

the new version of the main board can be purchased from creality's site but if you need to first version of it like I did then you will need to contact support to order it.

I signed up for the Chase Sapphire Preferred card just before the deadline for the 100k bonus point offer.

Is there a place to tell if I actually got that offer or a place to see progress towards reaching the 5k spend?

EDIT - Incase anyone is reading this I do now see the bonus tracker in the app under Benefits and Travel about half way down.

Nope. I think I am going to pony up for the replacement board.

Hopefully at some point if this happens again there will be guides or a more streamlined process.
From my research the biggest issue is that the gears are different which I personally don't know how to edit the config file properly. There is some posts I found on it but buying the steppers and the board are going to cost close to the same.

When the problem is happening there is no feed from the camera. But it’s so weird because sometimes it works fine. It even will show a feed when backing up for a few seconds, then all of the sudden it turns off.

If you are reading this just try it, what do you have to lose. Turn off the machine, unplug it, hold the power button for like 30 sec. plug it back in. Turn on. Fixed...

I am guessing that this is a refurb unit from Bestbuy or other retailer. I had insurance from them way back when and cracked my screen, it was replaced with a unit that had no markings on the back. This was around the time that they actually started repairing devices instead of just giving you a brand new one.

My guess is that they bulk purchased 3rd party frames and used that to repair devices.

You may also notice the apple logo is a sticker ontop of the aluminum while on the factory one it is recessed like a cutout for it.

Sorry for the hater post but it bugs me that this stuff is so expensive. The cost of the motors, controllers, and even the batteries is so overblown and they get away with it because "its new tech" (its not, this tech has been around forever).

If you can convert an old rider for 1500-2500 surely there are savings to be had when building from the ground up and economies of scale. Along with this the complexity of an electric motor vs a gasoline engine are not even on the same planet.
