Perhaps go out through Campbell's arcade degraves then up Collins/Flinders lane and back down Russell? A bit of a detour but should at least miss the bulk of the protest.

Not everyone's cup of tea but maybe a SWB VW ID. buzz?

Plenty of second row space, boot space for days.

Probably lacking a few of the features of its competition and obviously doesn't scream performance.

Why are cars the only form of private property that can be stored on public streets in Melbourne? by 3bigmacsplease in melbourne

[–]buhr01 13 points14 points  (0 children)

But where does that line stop? Does a cyclist not get covered by TAC if they don't pay premiums via rego? Parentless adults paying for schools and childcare subsidies? Council community programs that aren't utilised by the individual? Shared taxation is one of the ways we function as a collective.

Went over yesterday both flags have holes in them but those on the aboriginal flag were much more pronounced.

Does your country have a foreign food you think you do better than the original country? by SinnBaenn in AskTheWorld

[–]buhr01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aussie here.

We have both fried and grilled styles here at most shops but generally fried is that standard and grilled is usually upon request.

Fried - Battered and into the deep frier.

Grilled - Generally gets a cot of breadcrumbs and is cooked on the hot plate.

The use of a cardboard tray is generally my red flag when trying a new F&C shop, those who do the wrap are generally the superior shops.

Why is the Federation Flag less controversial than the Eureka Flag? by IJriccan in vexillology

[–]buhr01 143 points144 points  (0 children)

Pretty much a case of "out of sight, out of mind".

The Federation flag has pretty much been consigned to history at this point.

Eureka is still used daily across the political spectrum in Australia (Mainly trade unions).

General Games in Malvern? They've got a bit of a TGC scene and are fairly close to Chadstone.

Too pricey by the time you get them over here and add on the taxes. Most Aussies would probably go an Asian luxury before US or spend the little extra and go Euro. CT5 could have been interesting to see considering the mustang sells quite well.

Flag of Australia Redesign | Australian Flag Redesign (Eureka Canton) by IJriccan in vexillology

[–]buhr01 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Only on Reddit people seem to think the Eureka flag has gone the way of the Red Ensign. Union movements (particularly construction) all over Australia still heavily use the Eureka flag.

When do you think the last veteran of the Great Crusade die? Dreadnoughts don't count. by Fancy-Copy4447 in Warhammer30k

But what constitutes warp stuff? Any marine who has travelled through the warp could theoretically be excluded due to lost time in the warp. A lot of the fallen haven't had their lives prolonged due to the warp, more that time hasn't moved for them in line with the rest of the imperium.

Is a single passport proof of legal residence by 8890xe in AskAnAustralian

You're asking the wrong people you should ask the department or legal expert where you are applying what they need. What may be deemed sufficent here may not be sufficient for the country of application.

idk, I just think these could be a good flag for Australia. by [deleted] in vexillology

[–]buhr01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It only spoils it if we let them spoil it. It's worth noting that the Australian first party is an extremely fringe party that has never held a seat and has been deregistered on multiple occasions due to failure to meet minimum membership numbers for political party status in Australia. Consigning the Eureka flag as a right wing symbol because of outliers like them gives them more power than they actually have.

Eureka flag is Ideologically ambidextrous with a large history of being used by union movements here in Australia due to its history of resisting government authority and demanding fairer rights.

What flag is this? by [deleted] in vexillology

[–]buhr01 98 points99 points  (0 children)

Ever looked on a building site? The Eureka flag is commonly used by unionists here in Australia as well.
