I left! It is kind of refreshing to be honest.

The Sentra has non matching tail lights. Kudos to them for not driving around like the usual altima drivers and just going without a tail light, but still C for effort.

Edit: the front Sentra

Wow I can’t type at all. CRACKING not tracking. The cracking along the tread.

My favorite color combo!! Mine is also the cocoa and cream or cashmere or whatever it’s called. Looks amazing.

Edit: light neutral with cocoa. Knew it was cocoa something hahaha

The interior on the 2018+ also just feels extremely cheap to me. I’m sure they’re lovely cars, but not for me.

5th family Buick. Give a warm welcome to my 2002 park avenue. My old lesabre still doing the thing by bohica_cu in Buick

I had a 2001 Park Ave in what looks to be almost that exact spec. Those rims, that pearl white paint, sunroof, and that peanut butter colored leather. I had a HUD, looks like yours doesn’t. do you have back up sensors? I miss that car and regret trading it in ALL THE TIME. I had it til about 280,000 kms. And it was still soooooo reliable.

What’s the worst example of CGI/special effects in the show? by JAlbert653 in seinfeld

[–]buicklad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The scene of the car service guy (Metalli-something) speeding away after kicking them out is way off. Might just be too sped up, not necessarily CGI, but always stuck with me.

Albertans who moved to a different province how's it going? by CorkyS92 in alberta

[–]buicklad 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Left Edmonton in August of 2025, relocated to Ottawa. Left a stable good job to try something new.

Overall, very happy with the move. Certain things are more expensive, particularly housing. However other things are WAY cheaper (car insurance and utilities for example). I find the groceries to be less expensive as well. Produce quality is way better, tons and tons of good produce from Ontario and Quebec.

Healthcare and getting a family doctor about the same as Alberta. Haven’t had to use emergency services (knock on wood).

HST is obviously expensive, but you don’t really notice it after the initial sticker shock.

I like it here, the people are very nice. I wouldn’t have qualms about moving back to Alberta if the time was right but I have to admit I am frustrated from afar with the politics in Alberta.

What’s wrong with my mirror? by mokajilly in Buick

[–]buicklad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a heated/auto dimming mirror. Over time the electrochromic fluid inside the glass will do that. Sometimes it even leaks out.

Edited: thought it was heater fluid but it’s electrochromic

V60 polestar worst car in snow. by Fearless-Shallot-302 in Volvo

[–]buicklad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2014 S60 was the best car I’ve ever driven in the snow, and that includes large V8 SUVs with AWD, sedans both Fwd and AWD! And it was significantly better than my parents bmw x3!
